WordPress Firewall and code editing, Surprise!
I have the current version of WP hosted on Host Gator and was editing my theme yesterday. I received the following email alerts:
"WordPress Firewall has detected and blocked a potential attack!" Indicating specific hack attacks on my wp-admin/theme-editor.php
I received one for every time I went in to update code per the theme admin/author to patch or update.
Here comes the "ignorant" newbie question. Should I have disabled the WP Firewall plugin prior to editing? And, why didn't my HG account recognize me as the author of the changes since I was logged in through my host?
