How to find related threads on a forum

My question to everyone is how do you find related threads on any forum (where you are posting) that relate to your specific industry/niche or product that you are promoting? Not just talking about finding a similar niche forum that is related to your product, but actual discussions which specifically talk about your product? What are your best techniques for this. Please share if you would.

If i understand your question correctly, finding threads related to your sig and posting just for the sake of advertising is not advisable.
That may be considered sig spam or self promotion and will get your posts deleted, maybe even a warning from the Mods...

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

the forum usually has a 'search' function, so you can enter your keywords in this

Eg a Pets forum, you want to find out about 'dog grooming'

in the search box type : Dog grooming, and it should list threads started and discussed relating to dog grooming.

That is an example but can work for any discussion, any niche.

Simply use the search function of any Forum if search function available. Also you can use Google

site:website.com "keyword" search Google using this term.

Just be warned that if you start posting a bunch of crap posts related to whatever you're selling, you're likely to get banned at the WF. That kind of thing is easy to spot and report.

Look for popular forums in your niche, join, and participate.

If all you are looking for is popular posts around your topic only then you are going about forum marketing the wrong way and it will not be a long term strategy for you.

Try doing a search>> tag search and see if that has what you are looking for. Normally posts will contain tags and they should show up in your search.

Use good old google site:forum.com "keyword" or you can take it further like:

site:forum.com intitle:keyword to pick up specific threads where they mention your keywords in the title. You will always get better results from searching google than using the forums search facility.
