Tool to Find similar registered domain names?

Is there a tool out there that can find similar REGISTERED domain names, and then extract who is (contact info) for those domains?

I get tons of emails that are obviously form automated tools that are emailing me similar names I might be interested in, but I have no idea where to find this tool, or if such a tool actually exists (or if all are hand coded).

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Ha - definitely NOT the only one. I get them endlessly! I can't wait to figure out how this is actually being done!

This is a great start, but the idea tool would also extra contact information, rather than just a list of domain names. I'm guessing there is a tool that basically "does it all" for these people (ie. finds all similar domians based on keywords, extracts contact info, and perhaps even tracks contacts and allows you to email them).

Something like SEOElite used to be, but updated for domains.

I think you can just use the bulk name registration tool of namecheap.com and then check the whois...
