Should I build my list or try to launch a MC 2.0 product first?

I hear it time and time again from tons of IM gurus that the "money is all in the list".

With that being said, I would like to start buildling it but I would also like to make money while doing it...don't really want to throw my eggs all in one basket and focus on getting leads to my list, without making $$.

So I got two options here that I'm sorta juggling:

1) Use PLR products (that I will redesign and revamp) to place on multiple websites/squeeze pages and use those to build my list.

2) Use my HD camcorder to create an online video course and put it on clickbank and do a product launch (using Mass Control 2.0's techniques)...However, I hear some people have products flop as a result because they haven't established a reputation yet (e.g. built a list).

In order to make serious money from products is it ideal to put your product on Clickbank? Or are there other ways?

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Making money soonest is obviously my main goal...but if it means I HAVE to build a huge list first then I am willing to do that...Thanks Warriors.

I am in the exact same boat that you are Todd. I am planning on doing BOTH of the methods you are talking about. Putting up a few sites with useful PLR content to help build opt in subscribers, and also developing my "flagship" product which will introduce me and my unique skillset (as both a marketer and an actor!) to the Internet Marketing realm.

I think as a "newbie" product wise- you simply need to do something unique that will cause people's attention to focus on your product! That is my intent with my upcoming site (in sig). By doing something that has never really been done, you set yourself apart from the pack and people are more likely to remember that!

Thanks ccmusicman and TMJonsson for that advice. I think doing both at the same time is a good idea...I just hope I don't have an information overload and start taking crazy pills.

It REALLY isn't that hard. Just sit down with your favorite mind map software (Or you can use the one Frank suggests - it's free) and map out your visitors "launch flow". Like, how you are going to get them to your website, how you are going to get them to sign up, then your follow up sequence, etc.

You should also map out your product and your "perfect customer". Then all of your marketing and your product will sell to that ONE customer who is perfect. All of the rest will kinda fall in line.

Really, I think you'll be amazed at how EASY this is. Do you have Frank's Core Influence DVD?
