Help With WordPress... Site Not Visible In IE

Hi All,

I posted this in the web design forum, but I hope to get faster help here.

Could someone please tell me what I need to do to make my site look the same in IE as it does in Fire Fox? In Fire Fox, it looks fine. But, in IE, it looks distorted and no one can read my pages.

Here's my site Fab Marketing

Thanks, in advance, for your help!

You have some very strange code in your post which is obviously upsetting IE - but FF is getting around it.

Did you cut & paste from somewhere to make your post? If so - it looks as if all the formatting controls have been pasted too. You will have to clean this up somehow.

Yes, it's definitely something to do with the post. The site template loads nicely in all my browsers, (FF, IE, & Chrome). Only IE has difficulty reading the post made on April 17th. Just clean up the HTML and it should show up.

It's definitely your sidebar. I would take that all down (back it up first) and then see what your site looks like and make sure it loads. And then add your sidebar stuff little by little.
I don't know how your building your site, but copying and pasting from Word usually gives you Word format. Try to copy/paste from Notepad.

Yes, cleanup anything you added to the sidebar. If that doesn't help, deactivate any plugins you are using and the re-activate them one-by-one.

Thank you all for your advice. I did take all my text out save it to Notepad then pasted the text back to Wordpress. That didn't fix the issue.

I did use Widgets to input the information in my sidebar.

Thanks Craig for your theme. I'd hate to change mine as I paid someone to expand the borders, change the color, and create a custom header. These changes did nothing to the site, received complaints before making those edits.

So, the next step is to... deactivate then reactivate all plugin? Ok.... here goes. Wish me luck!

Sorry to report. Deactivating and reactivating the plugins didn't work either.

    Any more suggestions?

It looks like you copy and pasted from Word and you didn't remove the Word styles which are confusing IE. You should always copy and paste from Word to notepad and then copy and paste from notepad to your blog. This will remove the Word styles. The problem is this:

Remove from <p> to </p> and everything in between:

      <p><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:WordDocument> ................. <p><!--[endif]--></p>

      Remove ^^^^^^^^^

From this line down seems ok. <p>It's so nice to meet you.</p>

Once your remove the Word styles it should work.

Your suggestion worked perfectly. My site now looks perfect in IE.
