Are there any other requirements to selling in WSO besides paying $37 + $40? Do I have to have a certain number of posts?

Being a brand new member, you have no credibility. I would recommend becoming active on the forum and creating some credibility for yourself. The best way to do this is by posting helpful information that will benefit others here on the forum. If people see you have a history of providing excellent help/content, they will (hypothetically) be more inclined to purchase your product.

The last line of the post reads : "4. Become a contributing member here before trying to post a WSO."

You don't have to have anything. So long as you pay the relevant fees you are good to go.

Now let's look at your question another way. What do I need to sell my product at a seminar? Nothing, but that doesn't mean anyone will buy it. If people don't know you or trust you then you are going to find it much harder to sell anything than the person whom everyone already knows.

Step 1: Get yourself a real profile picture.

Step 2: Get involved in the forum and let people see you and get to know you.

    Or you could do this.

Step 1. Create an awesome quality WSO.
Step 2. Create an even more awesome sales letter.
    Step 3. Launch your WSO.

    You will make sales.

    Rinse and repeat.

In time you will have a group of loyal fans who will buy most everything you produce and sing your praises, attracting even more buyers.

For this method, to be successful, step one above is most important.

I'm not disputing the other suggestions, just presenting another one that is tried and true.

Yep, if selling on your own site I would agree. Make sure you product is excellent. The WSO marketplace though does have a lot to do with reputation. It's not to say someone new to the forum can't make any sales but it will definitely be harder for you than the person with an established reputation. Trust is everything online and so you will need to earn that trust before a lot of people will purchase from you on this forum.

        True Will,

However, one can build that trust in the WSO forum. I'm not saying it's THE way to go. It's one way to go. I'm saying it can be done and in fact it has been done.

Here's where I'm coming from. If your main reason for coming here is to learn and give back, do it.

If your main reason is to add value by presenting us with decent WSOs, cut to the chase and just do it.

If one is just coming here to make a quick Buck with iffy, junk WSOs, skip the obligatory playing nice, pay your $77 destroy your Rep and be gone with ya.

As long as you have a really good, unique WSO, you can do even without a profile picture or no posts, I've seen it happen before.

But it's a lot easier to sell once you inspire people with confidence. That may include having a profile picture, having posts, having people who have "thanked" you and so on.

Yes, you REALLY need to make some regular forum posts before trying a WSO. I am amazed how many people put up an WSO, have 0 posts (or very few), then wonder why they don't sell much.

Hard for people to trust some one that hasn't been around.
