Anyone out there try Wholesale?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone sells products on ebay or on their website where they sell physical products that they buy wholesale. I have seen salehoo, alibaba, ec21 etc. I would like to know if these are scams or do they really offer products you can make a profit with. Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

One of the more profitable ways is to buy large bulk lots of merchandise rather than the small quantities offered by some wholesale companies. Often the best deals on the lots are refurbs, discontinued products and returned merchandise. A friend of mine does this and he makes between $30K and $50K a month. Of course, he spends about $10K to $25K buying these lots. He sells on eBay as well as in local flea markets.

i did that for a nice chunk of change.

Usually the wholesalers will find you on ebay and ask if you want to sell for them

Only problem is if they dont ship the item in time, you get in trouble for it

I was looking into the wholesale buying/selling. The only problem with that is you have to have alot of start-up capitol. If you can do that. And have the time. Go for it! Lots of potential if you do it right.

I ran a wholesale distribution company for a couple of years and it was a cash cow, but i notice that the people online who claim to be wholesalers or factory direct sellers sell their merchandise at a much higher price than true wholesalers or factories, more like slightly discounted retail, if you really want to get factory pricing you have to buy at least (typically) $1000 worth of merchandise

I have a list of about 30 true wholesale companies that range from purses to Ipod's. I havent had any problems with them. I only have problems with the huge startup cost.

be careful of some of the wholesale trade sites. Alot of the people on there are scam artists. It is best to really investigate a company before you buy. Also if they ever ask for a wire transfer and no other way to pay that is a huge red flag. Most of this business is either done by credit or invoicing.
