Any Good WordPress Plugins for Collecting Opt-Ins?

Are there any good WordPress plugins for collecting opt-in e-mails?
Ideally I'd like to find one that pops-up on the screen when a visitor
first arrives. (Perhaps something like this).

Any ideas?

My two favorite opt in form builders are Gravity Forms and Magic Action Box. Both extremely high quality and flexible. Only ideal as a pop up form if you're decent at coding though. Otherwise both are gold.

    Which autoresponder are you using?

None, yet. I'd prefer a free one, however.

Then why to "collect" email addresses?

The most fullish thing is to try to send tons of emails through your host server using one of those stupid WP plugins that claim to be able to replace AR services. They lie...

You don't need any plugin to have optin on a WP site:
        - you need an AR service (or your own script)
        - you need to place the optin form provided by the AR into your WP sidebar or WP Page or whereever you want to have it.

        Don't overcomplicate it!

Maybe a very poor idea indeed, James. This is why: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7961543

If you always look for the free route then you will always have no urgency to get things making money for you. That's the mistake I have seen many people make over and over again.

Who do you think is going to be trying their hardest to make money out of their list and taking it more seriously? The guy who is using a free autoresponder and thus has all the time in the world OR the guy who knows he has a $19 fee to pay at the end of each month?

Free is great.. but not when it makes you no money.

        Just saying...

Istvan has it right. You need an autoresponder...try Mailchimp, reliable and free for the first couple of subscribers. By the time you need to pay for it you'll have 2,000 subscribers to market to, so it wont be a problem.

    Cheers!

Popup Domination is good. If you know how to use Javascript, HTML and CSS there is a free version:

It's awesome and you can customize it very easily.

Why bother if you do not have a autoreponder ?

You do know that Aweber will give you a free trial for $1 for the first month.
Building a list is a investment that will pay you over and over for life.

If I was you, I would start to invest in your business or give up and do something else.

We all have been were you are and to grow your business you are going to need to invest in it.
Get a autoresponder first before thinking about a pop up.
