Do you have a List? (bodybuilding, muscle gain fitness, health, weightloss)

Hello,

I am looking for anyone here with a list related to bodybuilding and muscle gain. Possibly also in weight loss, fitness & health.

We are testing this thing right now. We have an offer and would like to do a solo mailing. We want a really good responsive list.

Please get back with me with info on your list. How old, how big and is it hosted by third party service like aweber?

PM or email jlsallan@gmail.com

thx

Great I've been waiting for someone to speak up and ask for anyone with a list... I've actually built a list of 2,405,736,261 subscribers but I don't know what to do with them all.

They are hosted on aWeber and I'm paying over $100,000 a month to have the database there.

Now if this sounds a little crazy then you'll understand that asking for someone with a list without details of what's in it for me on only your 3rd post to this forum probably sounds a little crazy too....

I mean, your post wreaks of forum spam in a BIG way. No details, no contact info other than a gmail account ... you've got to be out of your mind?

    Mike Hill

PS. YES I am being rude!

Hmm.. yes, definitely rude. I think it sounds perfectly acceptable.

I know of several other big marketers that have done this.

This IS a forum full of marketers after all.

It would make sense to try and make partnerships that actually make money instead be sarcastic or flame each other..

Pffft... It's a marketing forum YES... NOT a SPAM forum!

The idea is to contribute value to the forum in some way shape or form. The original post didn't do any of that and hopefully by my reply they got the message.

I can't believe you'd think that was acceptable and that I'm out of line... hahahah

You know, I would say that making a good promotion partner is a BIG value.

How do you think that these big guys do launches?

They find people that have lists.

I know that if I had something going on that could make some money with the guy, and could make a connection, that would be interesting, and a lot more valuable than a post like " Pen Names? " that was just posted.

Sure, his post was slightly spammy, but c'mon.. Jump on people much?

The thing is even the BIG guys know its about what's in it for the people with the list. They simply do not go out and find people with lists... they have relationships with them. Hello, that's marketing 101.

It's NOT about the money, trust me.

If I promote everyone's great idea then I have essentially given away my business because my list will now be everyone's list.

It goes much deeper than "Will you promote for me, I'll give you all this cash".

You'll definitely understand when you get emails all day long and several phone calls a week from people wanting you to promote their latest product.

To come to a marketing forum and make a post like BarberShop did is definitely NOT the way to get JV partners. In fact I wonder what people are smokin' sometimes.

If they just sit back and logically think about it for a second they would realize they have to prove themselves in the market to other marketers. They have to go out of their way to get noticed.

Instead of making an open casting call why not actually do some freaken research into your market and find the biggest players, then send them a personal video explaining your offer to them and sending along a free copy for their review.

It may not get you a deal but it sure as hell beats spamming a forum with a 6 line post.

                  Mike,

First, I do get a LOT of requests for JV promotions to my list, so I know what you're talking about.

The thing I think is different here is that he's in a different niche.

In the IM niche, the marketers all want to act like they're all-important-god-beings that people have to sacrifice their first born and beg on their knees to even have a chance of having their offer looked at.

In other markets, people with lists that know the value of them are just the opposite. they WISH people would come up to them everyday.

I know this from several lists I have as well as talking to other big marketers that have lists in other niches.

I had a convo with Chriss McNeeney where he said that he would kill to have more people coming up to him with offers to send to his list in a particular niche he's in.

That's how it's like in the other niches.

So, you said he should think it through first right?

Well, if you think about it, where would you go to find a person with a list in the golf niche?

                  Golf forums?

No... That's not where the webmasters hang out. They hang out in the warrior forum, or on sitepoint or places like that.

So, while his post was a little spammy, I don't think it was all that bad.

And in any case, speaking of things of value, it's ridiculous that you and I have typed up over 3-5 pages talking about this.

Thanks for the conversation. I'm going to get to work.

                  Take care.

Well if he created a product in the bodybuilding, muscle gain fitness, health, weightloss market then he should know who the BIG players are, right? Send them a video with his proposal ... not to difficult at all...

This thread has actually turned into some good information of how to look for JV partners and not SPAM the forum.

                    Mike Hill

PS. I have many other lists too and I don't have a problem of finding good quality products for them. I stay active in those markets forums and see what products come down the pipe. I pay attention to my competitors and see what they promote and I usually find good quality products without much bother...

PPS. If I want to be the first in the market to promote a given product about XYZ then I'll create it myself... and/or find someone in those forums that posted great results and contact them personally to see if they want to create a product together.

If this thread is going the legit route---then I got 2 words for you'se people: MATT FUREY.

Any player in this niche knows who he is.

A guru who can kick ass for real...and who kicks a lot of ass in sales...to the tune of millions of dollars.

                      True.

Yeah very true, Matt Furey is definitely a big player in the muscle and fitness, weight loss niche... I found him a few years ago when I was doing research on marketers that make millions from Public Domain information.

Very cool stuff... actually forgot about that until you mentioned it Vince...

Hey Mike....the product Furey developed was called Farmer Burns Catch Wrestling Submission...I think?

One of the great public domain success stories....cuz he simply went in and rehashed an ancient course on "shoot" fighting et al....and ended up doing over a million dollars in sales on that deal alone.

I honestly think the whole fighting/bodybuilding niche is set up beautifully for public domain...simply because it's a niche that values "old school" stuff....from "old school" masters. For real.

They're still makin' money off the Charles Atlas program.........after all these years.

"The insult that made a man out of Mack...." LOL. Great stuff. Dude got sand kicked in his eyes and lost the babe on the beach...but ordered the course and kicked the bully's ass...and got laid after the fact.

                          Awesome!

Remember that great ad, selling the Dynamic Tension program....in those comics? It still sells today.

Public Domain.....remains one of the least utilized and most misunderstood ways to make a score out there......and that suprises me...considering The Secret was public domain repackaged as well.

Ah, yeah I remember all those old comic book ads in the back... classic stuff!

I think were most people go wrong with Public Domain information is they don't match up the right market with the information and put a good ol' marketing hook on it. I guess they figure it's worthless or something.
