    Hi Conrad,

Is that actually allowed? To ask people to click on the links - thought I read somewhere that if caught, it'll get your blog into some serious trouble.

you can ask them to support your sponsors you just can't tell them click on the adsense ads. And adsense is not the only sponsor on the sites.

It's against the TOS to ask people to click on adsense ads. I guess "supporting the sponsors" is sort of a grey area.

Better remove those text, Conrad. Google doesn't allow publishers to actively encourage users to click on their Adsense links. You'll lose your Adsense account for that if you're caught!

At one time the craze for adsense was adding pictures to catch the visitors eyes to the adsense ads

pictures as simple as people looking at the ads or just plain old pictures nearby.

this was approved by Google originally no problems and it was the rage for a while

then all of a sudden Google changed the rules because of the complaints about people clicking thought they were getting what was in the pictures so to eliminate issues banned the pictures

So don't even think of encouraging people to click anything on your site if adsense is on your site

What you should try if you see much higher conversions is get a script that post non adsense ads and drive traffic to it

check to see if you make more money than the few pennies adsense does
