Has Anyone Bought From Fivver.com?

Hi.

I have been thinking about purchasing something from fiverr.com. I was wondering, do any of you have experience buying from fiverr, is it safe? Are the seller ratings legitimate, and do they accept PayPal?

Regards
Richard

Fiverr is a legitimate site, however with any marketplace you have to be weary of dishonest sellers. Most sellers on Fiverr are honest. If you stick to selecting popular gigs with good feedback you shouldn't go wrong.

Yeah, bought a logo for one of my "authority" sites. Cost me $10 bc I wanted it rushed.

I'm about to buy a horizontal optin design for aweber from someone else.

There is some real gold on that site.

Yeah i've ordered a few gigs. It's secure, basically either your order gets delivered or nto. If it does then your 5 bucks is deducted from your paypal account, if it doesn't get delivered then you leave a not recieved status for the user and your money is safe and sound in your paypal account, per fiverr. So yes fiverr is legit

I buy and sell on Fiverr. It's awesome. I've bought all sorts of services from cartoon graphics to voice overs to keyword research. It's a great marketplace. Make sure you read the gig description very closely and give the provider all the information he or she needs to give you what you want.

Yes, I order mostly webdesign and voice over products. There are many skillful providers in these fields but I suggest not to order content from there.

There are a lot of dodgy content providers for sure but there are also some excellent content providers. I know this because I am one of them. I have 100% positive feedback and some amazing reviews.

Fiverr name is same as here.

Fiverr is a good site to buy on. I use them all the time. I have a great guy on there who does alot of my graphic design for me. And the customer support of Fiverr is good too.

Fiverr is a great site to get stuff on the cheap.

Ensure that you stick to people with high ratings and a good track record.

Almost always you would get a good job done.

Moreover, Fiverr has done a good job trying to keep the dodgy types out.

I use Fiverr all the time and have had practically no problems, I don't always get great quality work but I expect that it's not unique to Fiverr and so I often hire several people to do the same thing and when I find one I like I use them consistently. Yes they use Paypal and it's safe.

As long as you buy from reputable sellers on Fiverr you will be ok. I have purchased many things from Fiverr and have been happy with what I have received. Just remember to research the sellers feedback before committing to buy.

I tried several SEO gigs - all of them were useless. I tried a gig, where a lady posted my add on her twitter with 100k followers - not a simple visitor came from this.
      I stay away from fiverr

Yes Fiverr is a great place, but just like every place your going to have to do your own research.
What I mean is don't only look at the high ratings, but also take the time to look at reviews. Sometimes the guy can have dozens of great reviews, but you have to ask yourself are they all hype reviews or legitimate. I have walked into a few sellers like that.
To answer your other question; everything currency exchange is done through Paypal.

Hope I was able to help

As others have indicated, be careful WHO you buy from.

But, if you are careful, you can find some excellent sellers there.

p.s. I probably need a 12-step program, because I probably spend way too much money on Fiverr.... :p

Ha ha ha TPW a 12 step programme for Fiverr, maybe we should get together and create a 12 step programme for the Warrior Forums WSO section and sell it on Fiverr!!!

On a serious note I have bought many, many gigs on Fiverr and most have been great but just watch out for ones that are fake like the "get 1,000 likes to your Facebook page" these are not real.
If you are looking for graphcs to be done though or short video, voice overs, content.... there are so many choices and as previously stated, read through the reviews first. Any problems Fiverr will do their best to help, they pride themselves in being an honest website.

      Regards Polly.

Love Fiverr. I have had great experience with Article Submissions, profiles and bookmarking. I make sure that the gigs have great ratings. Kind of feel sorry for newbies with gigs trying to make a go of it, but I stick with the tried and true services.

I get a lot of cool stuff from fiverr. I love it. It's like a flea-market. Some stuff is garbage, and some finds are gems.

When you find a gem, collect it with their built in "favorites".

Yes, they do accept paypal - It's all they use.

I've used fiverr. If you want to see if the seller is legit, you can check the ratings and reviews. If there's something specific you want, contact the seller directly and they should be able to answer your questions before the purchase.

I was able to get a lot of cheap banners for some wp sites on fiverr. And when I asked for revisions, (change in color/size), the artists did the changes in minutes. Nothing but good reviews from me for that site. Sometimes though, when I was looking for a different design and couldn't find someone with the style I wanted. I popped over to their UK site, fivesquids to see what's available.

        Hope that helps. ^^

I buy from them all the time and am very happy with the work. I tend to use the sellers who I know produce good work time and time again. I have come across one shady person who tried to rip me off, but Fiverr kicked them off when I informed them. Look at the feedback of the sellers and choose someome with a good rating.

Fiverr can save you a lot of money. Still, do your home work on this one. I will contact the person. If they respond right away. Well, that is a good sign. If they write back days later they are not on the ball any. Also, some reply never. Yeah, they are too busy we guess.

Try to look for great gigs. Those are recommended by other warriors.

Fiverr has basically helped many unemployed people get work. But at the same time it has facilitated the degradation of the various industries because people tend to offer more and more services for just 5$.
This affects the consumer outlook towards the value of the product/service and the service providers in general. And mostly affects the quality of work.

There are many good sellers on Fiverr. (Myself being one )
It is better to trust someone with consistently good quality of work and feedback instead of rating.

Fiverr can be a great place to get some things done that you don't want to do or outsource for a lot of cash.

I have been happy with Fiverr work about 2/3 of the time. I've commissioned graphics and voiceovers.

So I budget for trying out a few providers, pick the person who performs the best and then give them lots of repeat business.

I have bought two gigs, one was for traffic. This was absolute crap nothing but bots, 50 a day and not a single lead on a high converting squeeze page. He had really good rating too so you cant even go off that.

The second one was a key-word rich article, this one went way beyond my expectations. You could tell he was a professional writer. When I asked him why he was doing this for only $5 dollars he said it was just to get his rating high. Shame he's not there now

...just take a good look at the reviews on there because having lots of positive ratings does not mean there legit.

Definitely a great site for micro jobs. Like other warriors, I go there for rush headers and other images. You can also find some great writers. It's a nice place for buyers. Just take the time to read the reviews and ratings. They also have "levels" for sellers. I get great services even from level 2 sellers.
