Looking for a program that does this...

Hi everyone,
I am looking for a find and replace program that will let me use an OR function. For EX. I want to find all instances of banana OR papaya, and replace both with grape. This example is more simple than what I need to do but you get the idea.
Thanks,
Ken

So you basically just need a SQL driven search tool for what I am assuming will be txt, rtf, pdf, or doc files? Is that right? What will you be searching? the web? a document?

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but my software development life would be much more challenging without "Search" from Sadman Software.

    It works with text files.

Hey thanks for the replies,I felt bad because I found the answer right after I posted here!

Turns out one of the programs I was testing will work, I had to use a "regular expression" to do this.

    Thanks again guys,

    Ken

The program I am using is called "advanced find and replace 4" you can download from a website called "abacre". It will give you a free trial and I think it costs about $30 to buy. There may be other programs that will work but this program has a "batch replace" feature I really like.
