Opinion Needed, Please!

I purchased a WSO product a while ago on mobile marketing (I can’t remember the name of the course, sorry!). The WSO used a software application, which scrapped yellow pages leads for a particular category (i.e. Pizza) so you can send a direct mail sales letters to this business.

The mobile marketing course showed in a video how they would take a screen shot of the web site and attach that screen shot as the header in a sales letter. The video also showed how they would create 2 - QR codes images. One would link to a mobile optimized version and the other to a non-mobile version of a site, a really great idea. They we would attach a dollar bill to the top of this sales letter as an attention getter. Basically, they were adding a person touch to the sales letter that showed they actually took the time to visit there web site and did an analysis.

This entire process would take me 3 - 5 min per lead multiplied by 40 - 60 results from yellow scrapper software. So it all, it would take me 4 – 6 hours to do all these direct mail letters. Now it only takes 5 – 10 min.

So me being a developer, I created a software application that goes out to these lead sources website(s) and it snaps a screen shot of there home page header and crops it for the header for my sales letter. Next the software generates the QR codes. It then auto generates what the site looks on a mobile phone if they don’t have a QR reader. Finally the software appends the sales message to produce a sales letter with a file name keyed with the name of the business and address. Check out the image below to get a better idea.

Ok, now to your feedback…. Would you find this useful as a downloadable software product for your mobile business? I don’t know what I would sell it for, but it wouldn’t be very much.

Thanks
Larry

See if you can find the author of that, and similar WSOs. They might be interested in partnering with you and offering your products as an upsell.

joshskyles: thanks. It you like I could let you demo it to see if it may be something you would like.

    Is this your homework, Larry?

I'll be honest...at first I thought this was going to be a load of crap. But, it actually does not seem like a bad idea. Does your program stand alone or does the person have to buy both products in order for it to work?

What I mean is, can I buy your product, click the button and sales letters pop out? Further, how do I create the mobile product? Do I need another product to do that?
