What to do with all those emails? NOOB

Absolutely beginner here and I have to first say that I really appreciate everyone's posts here. It's a LOT of information, I can't believe it's FREE!!! So grateful to all of you for your insight.

So, now my question. I have this niche. I don't think the niche itself would be very lucrative. But, I do think I could get a ton of email addresses from it. I'm just not sure what I would do with those email addresses.

Let me give an example to better help you understand. Let's say I had a site that if you put in your email, I would send you a way to naturally cure hemmoroids. You opt in, I send it to you. Now, who wants a list of hemmoroid sufferers exactly?

Also, what happens when they don't have them anymore?

I think I am good at finding problems. I'm just not sure how to monetize them correctly.

It's free, but there's absolutely no "quality control" and - inevitably, online - being able to benefit from it is a function of being able to distinguish information from misinformation (the latter is often far more widespread, which should surprise nobody given the low overall sucess-rates in internet marketing). Be aware that "the consensus of opinion" will often be a mistaken or flawed one, and that there are reasons for that.

Normally one does this the other way round, and starts by identifying niches in which people want information/products, checking the available information/products which one can promote (and/or create one's one) and so on. But I appreciate there are also circumstances under which one sometimes looks at it the other way round.

People selling information and products designed to educate people about treating hemorrhoids and people selling hemorrhoid-treatments?

Most of them do. It's a fairly chronic, recurrent problem which many people can change only by significant, long-term diet and lifestyle changes, and the proportion of people who ever achieve that is pretty low. (And similar criteria apply to many other "problem-solving niches" as well.)

But to the extent that it's a real issue, your question does illustrate a potential drawback with "problem niches" in which one sells "solutions". I think "problem niches" are sometimes a little overrated. I slightly prefer "enthusiasm niches" in which one "feeds the enthusiasm", because those are insatiable, without that problem ever arising at all.

Thank you Alexa. I do realize that. Which is why I read... A LOT. I know I'll have to get started with an action to really get the experience necessary to earn some extra $$.

Good information. Thank you very much.

Yeah, we marketers are the ultimate collectors of negative spawns. Funny because it's true.

You want a list, because you're going to market to hemorrhoid-related products. They're sick, tired and want to end the pain.

When they don't have them anymore... Well, you either receive referrals or you don't.

Fire me a pm if you have a question. I build businesses and provide consulting. I do not do finance/money/internet marketing niches. Fitness, self-improvement and various others are welcome.

There is no reason to build a list in that niche. Does someone really want to wait around for a few weeks with a pain in their ass so you can "build a relationship" with them before givign them the solution to their problem? No. They just want it gone.

I see this as an opportunity. Granted that your list will not be as versatile as other niches, you can pull from how your list responds. If you have provided good information and people have come to trust your recommendations to cure or help in their afflictions, you could then start polling your list to determine other areas of discomfort that may affect them. I guarantee you that a huge percent of your audience has back pain, arthritis or general joint pain, headaches, and other common ailments. As a result, you can then begin to segment your list further into other pain/cure niches where there are numerous CPA offers, PLR products and other information that you can monetize.

It will take some work, but you may be able to turn a pain in the rear into a polished poop!

    Just a thought.

Not everyone you recommend Cream X to is going to purchase it.

If you follow up for a few days with other related products that butt hurt people would be interested in and could solve their problems.. they might buy one of those other products instead.

Take a look at your niche and take a look at all the products someone might be interested in.

Think about how you can provide some quality info in there as well to let them know you're interested in helping them solve their problem... An email like, Hey This Cream Cures 75% of Hemmoroids (however you spell it..) And then sells a cream that someone may have tried before can end with something like... this works for most people, but there's still about 25% of people it doesn't work for. If you're one of those 25% tomorrow I'll send you a detailed report about how you can relieve butt pain at home for free!

Then.. they'll all looking for your next email, some people buy and try it out.. and they're all open to the fact that you're trying to help them and you have solutions to their problems.

The niche I got started in only had 2 products that I could sell, and I sold those 2 products to as many people as I could and when I started using email autoresponder sequences I did 4 times as many sales.

Just think for a second... what all could you sell them and give it a go.
