Selling Info Products: As WSOs or Outside of The Warrior Forum?

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of creating my first IM product but I'm not sure where I should sell it.

Should I put it up for sale on the warriorforum as a WSO or should I just do it outside of the warriorforum on a separate site dedicated just to selling that product?

Yes, I guess I can do both, but for some reason I see that most WSO creators only sell their WSOs as WSOs and stick just to the warriorforum. So I figured they are doing it for a good reason.

What's your take on this?
Which option is better: Selling a product as a WSO or selling it outside of the warriorforum?

You can put it on the WSO forum to see how it does, get feedback from buyers which will have got the WSO, and see how the product does.

Many people list a product as a WSO and then host it on another platform as an additional platform to sell it (eg clickbank).

Your best option depends upon who your target audience is. You should develop a profile of your perfect customer (for your product) and then put your offer in front of that person (targeted audience). The product will sell best if it is targeted very specifically to a group that wants it.

If the group is here on the WF then a WSO or WF classified ad may be the way to go. If the target market is not Internet marketers, then I would focus on other venues.

It's all up to you to determine who wants or needs what you are offering.

    Good luck to you,

    1. Launch as a WSO. Get testimonials and feedback.

    2. Refine the product based on the feedback and then take the product outside the forum at a higher price.

It never has to be one or the other.

        Julius,

Yep, it's also a good way to get case studies and testimonials for your sales page outside of this forum. The more real results you can show people the better so launching first as a WSO is a great way to get those real testimonials.

WSO to get the initial buyers and feedback you need to do a bigger launch.

Since you're releasing an IM product and this is an IM forum, you already have a targeted audience here. Warriors go to the WSO section with the intention to buy, so that will be good to get those initial sales and the boost and motivation to take your product to the outside world.

If you in the MMO Niche it most definitely wouldn't hurt to run it as a WSO to get feedback and testimonials that you can use later to launch it say on Clickbank or JVZoo

Sometimes the oldest marketing strategies work the best...

If its your "1st product" I'm going to venture to guess your working with a limited budget, and if so, here's how I'd go about it...

Warning --> I'm going to make some obvious suggestions, but this lil'system has worked well for me so far...

I just created my first product as well, and I'm launching my WSO tomorrow, well it's 2:15am now, so later today...

Here's my list of goals in order..

Goal #1 build a list of about 500-1000
      (done)
I did this by offering a teaser or free version of the main product (oldest trick in the book, but it works). If your going to be driving free/low cost traffic, the best way to monetize it is to offer something for free 1st...

Goal #2 launch it as a WSO (ready)
Because its a "special offer" and I want to get a buzz going, I'm gonna charge about 50% of the price I'm hoping to eventually get...

Goal #3 get it onto clickback or JVzoo (soon)
Once I have a list and a buzz going, I'm hoping I can get the full amount I was hoping for when I started the project..
