I don't see a need to invest 10k to get started.

Most of the basic fundamentals of IM can be done without much investment at all. The biggest thing you need to invest if you want to make it in IM is your time and dedication. That will go a lot further than a 10k investment.

You can drive traffic to your sites without spending any money. But with paid traffic, you can quickly drive traffic to your websites and make some quick bucks.

So, If I have 10k to invest, I'll invest 1k on fb ads. Send the visitors to an optin page, which redirects to a high converting affiliate offer. Make sure I target the right audience. With fb ads, you can easily target your audience in trading, investing, FX or fitness/sports.

Make sure to closely watch the conversions, if the CTR is low, you might want to rework your fb ad image. This way, you build your list and make money as well.

You are only trying it with 1k, so you will still have 9k. If the fb ads multiplies your revenue, do more of it, otherwise it's time to rethink about the 9k.

Define what you want.

Paid Traffic-> email list -> Affiliate product promoting
Traffic from search engines -> website -> optin to email list/money from ads

OR what you prefer, then find a trusted menter/coach and follow what they say. With 10k you have a lot of options

Just don't be stupid and buy whatever product that looks most shiny.

^^^ This. I was thinking about this .. though I've read through WF quite a bit, I have "pieces" in my head ... a coach to integrate things and really cut-short my learning curve would be excellent. Any recommendations?

Good points, Dan. I guess my choices here would depend on how much I am willing to spend in the short-term to bring traffic. There are faster (but costly) ways and there are slower (but inexpensive) ways.

Personally I am willing to do the faster route to at least find out "if the idea/approach is working". I don't want to wait a year to find out I need some major tweaks or worst drop it altogether.

Someone with expertise in PPC or other "faster" traffic generating mechanisms would be a better fit for me.

I have a solid job and substantial amount of time on my hands. But in the near-term I want to try out a few things and decide on one method and stay committed for years to come to make a solid business.

Sales Funnel - Nice. Sounds like a critical part of the entire business. Will be learning about it. I do feel I am missing the "bringing it together" part .. or may have to just dive in .. and learn the "bringing it together" as I go .. hmm.

Build your list, and either sell your own product....or be an affiliate. You, don't need much to do this. The most expensive element (or it can, be) can be the cost of paid traffic.

Get Mentored, on listbuilding/product creation and you can do, quite well... Tons of good stuff, in wso section

Take a couple hundred of dollars and get yourself a site, build a list, etc.

Selling a product? What about an eBook?

Providing a service? What kind of service?

Put some money into advertising. Nothing serious, go in $50 increments.

See what works and throw away what doesn't...for now.

My suggestion for you..
1.Buy a website which is earning around $300-400 per month through organic traffic for $5000
2.Invest $200 per month in high quality articles and SEO to get more traffic from search engine and sustain position or even get higher rank in search engine.
3.Build a list and start promoting related affiliate products.
Lets do the math
Website cost : $5000
6 months SEO and Content writing cost : 6x200=$1200
Total Investment in 6 months : 5000+1200= $6200

Earning $300 per month : 6x300=$1800
Net Investment : 6200-1800 = $4400

After six months you should have a list of atleast 1200
Now in next 6 months you will be earning atleast $700
So innext 6 months your earning will be : $4200 ( most of your investment recovered now)

After 1 year your site earning increased to atleast $1000 per month and that will be increased month by month as your list will keep growing.

Rinse and repeat .

Note : Stay away from shiny products and fabricated income claims , use your common sense and invest smartly.

10k is much more than enough to create a large blog and get good rankings for it on google. You can pay for content creation, backlinking, and everything necessary to create a nice powerful blog which will dominate google for multiple good keywords.

Then you can monetize it with ads, your own products or affiliate products or all of them. You can also build a list.

With just 1/4 of your money you can outsource the entire creation of a successful blog.

I'd go one of two ways:

Either buy some high-end coaching from a person who's well-regarded around here, or

Put the money in a bank and get to work on IM without spending much (like, less than $100) up front. Commit to spending at least six months learning before you devote any cash to anything. That'll help keep you from getting ripped off, and you'll see that you can start earning money without spending a lot up front.

I would recommend getting a top quality mentor/coach that has excellent reviews from well known marketers. Just do a lot of research before you drop $5k on this mentor.

Also be prepared to WORK. Don't think that once you hire a mentor the money will flow automatically. They might make you do stuff you really don't feel like but just stick with it.

Don't be one of those people that spend thousands online buying every second WSO and jumping from this project to that only to realise you have made a few dollars from it over the years.

It seems you got enough cash to invest but i tend to agree with Warriors here that you don't need to have such huge amount to get started with IM.
The most important segment of it is the idea and the skills you got to bring forth to the market.
I would recommend you get someone skilled in the IM niche to coach you or rather to guide you.There,you will have value for your money and soon you will start realizing good returns.

First off, never come in this forum listing a specific amount of money that you have to invest because there will be people coming out of the woodwork to peddle their "coaching" and their get rich quick courses. Leave that stuff alone.

Like Will said....a lot of the things you can do to get started can be done for free or very cheaply. Go that route and save your money. You can browse the web and find free info, but buying a few good books wouldn't hurt.

I don't know if you have knowledge or experience in IM, but lest say if you have knowledge and experience I would invest in creating my own product. If lets say you don't have knowledge, don't have time to learn, and want quick results and have 10K to spare, this is what I will do:
I will go to Safe-swaps and look for best possible bargain lets say I will negotiate $0.15c per lead. Than I will go to Clickbank and look for best converting products like Diet Solution or 6 Abs which cost around $45-$48, you will get half of this sum, with at least 5% converting rate through 1 email.

$10K / $0.15c= 66666 leads x $22.5 x 5% = almost $75K - $10K investment = $65K of pure profit

If I were you and just starting out I would create your own product especially if you have experience in trading/investing and fitness/sports. Create a product in one of those niches.

First I would recommend you and everyone to read this about creating your own digital product and what it could do for your business. The Truth About Abs: How To Make $1,000,000 Per Month with Digital Products (Plus: Noah Kagan results)

Then if you want to start on creating your own product you do not have to go far. Simply head over to the warrior for hire section in the forum and look for a copywriter, graphics designer and maybe even a product creator if you are lazy.

You could probably get most of this done without leaving the forum for $1k give or take.

Most of all make sure you are building a list. Collect that email and followup with related offers.

If you do not want to create your own product you can just be an affiliate but make sure to build your list before sending your visitors to anyone offer but your own.

Building your email list is an asset and building a buyers list is complete gold.

If you choose the affiliate marketing route I recommend to go with paid traffic >> Lead Capture Page >> Affiliate Offer >> Followup with other related offers.

Yes, as others have suggested this may not be the best approach. Starting off with the attitude that you have 10K to invest could easily leave you broke with nothing to show for it in a few months. Better to form a plan first and decide exactly what type of business you want to start. In most cases, you won't need anything near that amount to get started.

I would start by spending half split testing CPA campaigns. Find one that works for you and find a good offer. Once you are sure its dynamite, spend the other 5k on your campaign you know works. Use profits to scale up and then live on a yacht.

Good idea in theory, and you can make it work. Just dont throw money all over the place. Use it well, you are lucky to have that budget. Try not to spend half on WSO's too. Its pretty tempting

Definitely go after a good mentor, just make sure you do your research before you shell out your cash. A good mentor can help you learn the ropes and become successful at a much quicker pace then trying to figure everything out on your own. Once you know the business and consistently apply what you learn you will make many times more than your initial investment over time.

Hey congratulations, wish I had your problem!

There's a lot of great advice here so I'm gonna take a slightly different tack.

If the money is yours (you don't owe it somebody) and you can get more then take your pick of the suggestions above or others in similar vain.

Personally I would be looking for return on investment. This is not a fast buck deal! It requires plenty of research and virtually complete trust in the person your going to take advice from whether that be in property, trading, IM or something else.

There are plenty of offers out there, the problem is everyone's 'banging their drum' and shouting that theirs is the 'best thing since sliced bread'.

So long as you stick with your strategy (conservative, adventurous, etc.) and do your due diligence chances are you'll do well.

I would spend a lot of time researching what you want to do online. IE, affiliate marketing, your own product, dropshipping, etc. Then I would figure out which niche you wanted to enter; keeping in mind your background, strength, and weaknesses.

With your budget, I would browse for either an established website in your niche, or a website that is profitable, but you could make more profitable.

I followed the dropship model; because for me, it's easier to sell a tangible product to someone of X amount of dollars. It's also easier to see what competitors are selling the same products for. When I first started, I selected a niche and built my own site, now I just purchase sites and improve/change their business models to increase profits.

You dont need to start building a list just because your budget is 10k, building a list with solo ads your 10k will go like nothing, its not like you can just send out offers to your list and expect to get consistent sales. It takes time to build a relationship with your list before they can even turn into hot money, thats if they even turn into hot money . The only thing you need to do for now is find a good mentor that will give you a good game plan to follow until you start seeing results and just build your business. There are a bunch of great mentors on warrior forum, im sure if you do your research correctly you will find one

One thing I would look into is finding a Site on flippa or similar sites that have a steady cash-flow, then study it to see if you can make any improvements, like are they collecting emails?

If they are, do they email them regularly?

If they send offers do they track which ones convert better?
Could swamping out an offer in auto-responder sequence improve conversion?
Are they sending out a Newsletter? Physical/email

Do they serve ads already?
Can you offer some sort of continuity program(membership)
