I understand the logic behind squeeze pages forcing users into a buy/no-buy situation. However, has anyone experimented with different forms of pitches? A squeeze sometimes looks too much like what it is - a squeeze.

Im trying to make page that looks more like a brochure, with tabs and graphics, none of which leave the page, but none of which very directly ask you to purchase or give the product a try, simply describe its features in an elegant way without being sensational.

Does that work?

Are you talking about a landing page after a squeeze or? Most people use squeeze pages to capture leads not to sell products. there are sales pages for it.

My bad. I was referring to the landing page.

Sorry about the ambiguity, I'm fairly new to this.

      The main thing is...

The society's attention span is getting short-lived. What they thrive on is one word: Attention.

The reason why sensational pages work, is because of the promise in the headline. If you can get your prospect to sit up and notice you, why not? I've seen pages disguised as news sites. I've seen pages disguised as video sites.

The main thing you want to do is to be able to measure your progress. You must learn how to split-test.

Squeeze pages are not intended to force anybody into any situation. Its leverageing your marketing efforts so you can stay in contact with people and help them benefit. Its a business. They can leave anytime they want!

I would not reinvent the wheel but simply follow how other successful marketers are doing it. Your idea sounds like a good Idea. I would make sure your opt in is above the fold and not at the bottom.

For best resutls its best to give just a couple of sentaces and a good image or background. Maybe split test between what you like and what everybody is doing and monitor your results.

Im is all about the traffic and conversions

KISS...keep it simple...people have low attention spans...why mess with what works?

That being said...sure, test it out and see what happens. If it doesn't work, change it.
