Guys, what are you using as membership site ? Right now i'm testing s2member wordpress plugin but i get a blank page at the download section, no matter what i try as setup (gzip). It's almost impossible to get support for free but of course, i won't buy it if it's not working on my end !

been using free version of s2 on a membership site with no probs, have you tried installing the unziped folders by ftp into your plugins folder if you're not having luck the normal way?

Hummmm no ? I used (and i never use this usually) the automatic install plugin from within WD
Good idea by the way, i'll try this right away (who knows...)

s2member is great...it sounds like you're doing something seriously wrong...

why don't you simply install it from the plugin section of wordpress...just click the "add new" plugin link, then search for s2member and when the link pops up, click "Install Now"..wordpress will take care of the rest...you shouldn't be downloading files yourself...

  Well that's what i did at first but i'm still facing the blank download page issue (probably related to Gzip) but i did modify my .htaccess and did everything the troubelshoot guide said. Also my host says that everything works fine on their end so i'm stuck.

  Don't follow any download link... install the plugin directly from your wordpress installation.
  
  Log into your wordpress backend. On the left hand side of the screen there's a list of links, hover over the one that says "Plugins", another list of links will pop up...click the one that says "Add New".
  
  On the page that comes up, see the search field...type in S2Member and hit enter (or click the search plugins button).
  
  A list of plugins will pop up...one of them will be S2Member...there should be a link that says "Install Now"...
  
  Just click that link.
  
  That's all you gotta do...wordpress will install s2member itself.

I've used Wishlist before, and find it great... if you're looking for a paid one, then Wishlist is good... there is also Instamember which was recently introduced. Here's the link for it from the WSO section - http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...bank-soon.html

I've used that, it's pretty good too.

  Instamember maybe not a good choice. Problems and software bugs (see here) and support tickets not getting answered, and (yikes!) refunds not honored.

  I use Easy Member Pro which I'd happily vouch for. It always did everything I wanted and was very easy for me to customise (you just need to know html, not php). I know they've released and update since I've used it last so it's probably even better now.
