I posted a guest post and now the original is de-listed

So I did a post on a guest blog that is popular, and I didn't realize it had nofollow links on it. I think I posted it on the guest site a day or 2 after the original, and now mine is nowhere to be found in google.

Should I temporarily take the guest post down (I have access), delete my page, recreate that page, wait until it gets indexed, and then post it on the guest site?

This is partly due to the fact that I want to be the authority in this particular area, while that popular site is very broad.

    I'm not sure it's related. You just posted it, I think it's normal for it to dance like that. But go ask the SEO guys in the SEO section. That's who you need to ask.
