Over delivery and tell them that in description
If you can, do a 24 hours turn around time (express)

Once you get an order ask them to leave nice comment (don't be shy)

Please note that there are thousands of gigs listed on Fiverr. Just because they have been listed there will not ensure that you get immediate sales. It may take some time. You also have to do things like the ones already mentioned. With all of my gigs, I create a 30-sec video along with really good titles and descriptions around them. Lookup freelancellc (not trying to promote myself, just a reference) on Fiverr and you can see some examples of my gigs to get a better idea.

Fiverr is not the same as it used to be my friend.

Try to offer something very special at the beginning so people will try your service and you will gain some feedbacks and then you can offer your normal package when your gig is popular!

Because you're competing in the wrong market for your skill-set, Avril. You're targeting a market which has nearly as many service-providers (most of them with a skill-set considerably below the level of yours) as it has customers. That's the hardest way to make money from it. In other words, you don't have any ratings yet? It's very difficult to get clients when you have no good ratings. Social proof is very important when it comes to things like these. You can always offer your services for free or for a cheaper price until you get some good ratings.

Just offer potential customers their money back in exchange for a rating until you get established.

I would you just need to make your gigs as unique as possible..a good title
....a promotion video among others

I takes time, In the beginning I did a 2 for one offer with a 24 hour turn around. it was more work but I got immediate sales because nobody else was doing it. Once I got feedback, and had a portfolio i didn't have to offer that anymore.

As time goes on sales will pick up and people will make special requests. I would make note of the requests that I frequently got and created an upgrade for it.

Now each sale averages about $10 instead of $5.

  You can build a blog or website for ($5) and promote by buying gigs on Fiverr.
  
  Fiverr V2 is similar to the Google slap, getting traffic is much harder nowadays.
  
  Hmmmm...250 words (2) for 5 bucks.
  
  You might need to tweak your gig.
  
  There are people offering to do more for less.
  
  Get your name there, do more work and then when the orders pile up, you can always edit your gig.
  
  Try to also add more gigs to enlarge your territory.
  
  You love writing so set up gigs for other writing projects.

The problem with fiverr is it's like most things in life. Majority of gigs listed on there would be making no sales at all and it would only be the very small minority that are making a decent income.

My advice would be to not offer your services for such a low price.

Look for places where people are willing to spend more realistic money for the services you offer and that is where you want to be.

Most suppliers will do 500 words for $5 and as many will do 700 words - you are simply not competing against your competitors

  Don't bundle yourself into this low-rent stuff. The competition is stiff. You're going to waste more time fighting for clients that expect the world and offer bread crumbs in return. You can do better.
  
  So, what can you do instead? For starters, I can tell you that taking $20 and investing in a thread over at the Warriors for Hire section is a good way to get your feet wet. You will still find plenty of folks there offering articles at pennies on the dollar, but if you avoid putting yourself in their league, you don't have to worry about them.
  
  Position yourself as an experienced writer and provide plenty of excellent samples. Offer a discount to bring in your first few clients, too. I've managed to pick up some excellent long term clients from this forum, and they all currently pay me much more than they did when I first brought them on board.
  
  Once you get a few bucks and have some experience managing a few clients, create your own website to showcase your work and attract clients. Develop your brand and make some cold calls to companies who you think would be interested in your services. Team up with graphic designers and tell them what you do. If you do this right, you will find a lot of money is there for you to grab.

I purchased a advertising video yesterday from there and to be honest, there is a lot of choice on there so to try and sell something would be hard. Just keep it up and see what happens and if you sell, ask them why they purchased of you and use that to your advantange

There are thousands and thousands of gigs on fiverr and "thanks" to their new layout, it's very difficult to see all of them! Just choose a short title that will attract the attention, promise quality results in 24 hours and wait. There's nothing else you can do.

Fiverr is still a good place to sell services while you work on getting your own site or business set up. I make good money there as a writer - the biggest thing is to start getting orders so you have ratings and traffic which pushes you towards the top of the list on searches there. If you want more tips just inbox me, I'd be happy do some mastermind type meetings with you on chat or skype or something, sharing ideas etc.

You’re right, it’s indeed possible but unfortunately, Fiverr is not the same as it was before and we have to consider that there are already loads of gigs listed there. Yes, you may have been listed but it’s not a guarantee that you’ll enjoy sales right there and then. It can take quite some time. How about offering something interesting that people can say no to? This way you get to entice people to give you a try and when you’ve gained popularity, you can go back to offering your normal package. How does that sound to you?

Yes. Getting the 1st client is hardest. And once you got reviews and at least promoted as 2nd level seller. The orders will come automatically !

Promote your gigs here and other forums to get initial clients and then scale it up !
