Giving away copies of my service

I've recently launched a keyword research service for niche sites. So far I've got a few sales and good feedback from my customers, so I'm looking for ways to get more exposure.

I'm new to war room so I'm not sure if this is allowed. My idea is to give away a few keywords so people can check the quality of my service and also get some feedback. Then they can go to my thread if they want to buy more.

Is this allowed? If not, what's the best subforum to do this?

Do you think this is a good idea?

    Appropriate forums are WSO and Warrior for Hire, maybe Warrior Classifieds.

    In the War Room, you could try giving away a sample keyword list and ask for orders within the giveaway package, but you can't "sell" from the thread like you can with one of the paid ads above.

    If you go way back, the War Room was an advanced discussion forum. These days, it's become the Graveyard of Dead or Failed WSOs. There's still a lot of good stuff there, but you have to follow the rules.

    A "sales" thread won't even be approved.

      I've already posted in warriors for hire and gave away a few review copy to individual users.

      That's what I meant, to give away 3 or 5 keywords to everyone and within the reports link back to my thread, is this allowed?

      Wont do it as a sales thread, just posting that I'm giving away X keywords.

    The place to ask would be in the War Room. There's a sticky at the top for questions.

    Or just post it and see if it gets approved. Not sure you'd get a lot of interest for 3-5 keywords. Depends on how you present it, I guess. I was just thinking a person can get 8 keyword suggestions from the serps pages, unless you're including more data than just keywords it doesn't seem especially compelling.

      Maybe I didn't explained myself correctly. I'm not just copying and pasting keywords, it's a keyword research service where I give low competition keywords that can rank easily on google and are targeted specifically for adsense, clickbank or amazon.

    Yeah, something like that should be attractive. Like I said, ask in that thread for questions - the worst that happens is they say no.

    If I understand correctly, your asking if you can pass out a few free review services...

    If that is what your asking it is allowed, but not in the war room. If you list your service in the WSO/classified section, your allowed to offer free services in exchange for testimonials.

      I already gave free review copies to some individual users in the thread I offer the service.

      Since inside the war room I saw that everybody is giving WSOs and products for free, then my doubt if it's ok to give a few reports for free available for everyone inside that forum, but not requesting reviews in exchange. It would be like a free publicity (except for the time it takes me to find those keywords).

      Hope this made sense.

        Maybe I misunderstood you. I thought you wanted to refer people back to a sales thread inside the War Room. That is not allowed.

        If you meant that you would refer people to your Warrior For Hire thread, inside the report itself, you should be fine. You can also put your WFH thread in your sig.

        This is my opinion only. Ultimately, it will be up to the WR mods to approve your thread or not.

    From what I understand, the best way to offer that service would be through a WSO. It does require an investment on your part to give away something for free, but will probably be worth it in the end.
