A WP theme sold more then 29k copies generating more then 1.3 Million Bucks !!!

Guys,
today i was searching for a theme for one of my projects and i have found the top of popularity (i believe for this month) that has sold more then 29864 copies and generating 1.343.880 Bucks Ouch !!!!

How can these guys sell so many copies of this theme? i know its a nice theme, and probably i will buy one eheheh but achieving this goal is brutal.

    OptimizePress crossed the million dollar mark within their first year I believe. James Dyson and James Schramko are some bright cats.

    Yeah, there are a few themes that have sold a ton of copies but then the jump down to the next themes is quite big. Just the luck of the draw. The same way some WSO's hit the mark and sell heaps of copies and some don't.

      I think some of the themes at Themeforest with a large amount of "sales" were actually part of an yearly bundle offer or giveaway.

        I also think they have achieved those sales over a few years when I looked into some of these popular themes.

        But still good money although Envato does take a nice big cut.

          Well that avada team on the last 7 days sold more then USD 25k , i believe its quite good.
          The features of this team is superb.

    in My opinion it's selling because it has a simple feature set, constantly updated and the sales page is very clean and to the point.

    The theme is likely to be bought by consultants for clients or a small business site and the prospective buyers in a technical mindspace rather than in an emotional state.
