Commission Junction and Applying

So I am creating some video sites to bring in traffic but when applying to CJ I felt I needed to use a more established website to apply with. The site I listed however is a lead gen site and is far off topic of most things sold on CJ so I am not getting any responses when applying to to advertisers.

Any advice? Do I have to have a well established popular website in order to get approved for offers?

    Yes and No.

About 33% or so (last I checked) of the advertisers on CJ are "auto approve." The rest have to be applied for individually and have varying criteria. Some are very lenient and your site does not have to be in their specific niche and others it does.

From my experience, typing a professional and detailed overview of your marketing activities helps. Calling in directly to the advertiser (proactively) and being professional/sounding like you know your stuff helps.

Having a generic professional Internet Marketing Company site helps (include a portfolio etc)

Aside from that, make sure your sites are fully compliant (i.e. privacy policy, TOS, earning disclaimers, etc). Many advertisers are getting more strict in this area due to legal ramifications of late.

    Best regards and good luck.

    • MarketologyTeam: That helps a lot. I must admit that i was fearful of even trying to apply. It seems difficult for some reason.
