press release (PR Firm) vs buying ads

Which is better in order to build a good size pre-launch mailing list around 2000 to 3000 emails. I am already using facebook ads and google ads. What is the best bang for my buck to get a buzz for my site.

1. Buy ad space on sites that target my niche using services like. buysellads.com

or

2. Doing a press release using a PR firms like PR web, erelease, PRnewswire

    Buying add spaces on popular sites like buysellads is best for targeting your niche. Without traffic, it will be impossible for your online business to reach its sales goals. You must also do press release. It will benefit you.

    I would do both too. If you have a budget that only allows for one, I think it's a personal choice. But you never know which works BEST for you until you try them out!
