Looks like you already monetized it with PPC advertisements, all you need is traffic. I'll suggest to monetize it to build an email list in future or now.

Your first and important step should be to promote it, get more and more traffic to it.

Thanks for all your replies, I shall start trying to drive traffic now then and writing unique content. Do you find making an email list better than using banners etc..?

Not sure if I'm picking up what your putting down.

Email lists are designed to capture leads of potential customers and customers. This way you can keep in touch, provide helpful content, presell, and sell to them. Over and over.

I'm just assuming here, but if you're talking about banners the way I think you are (like advertisements?) and using them to send your traffic to an offer on another site, then yes an email list is better.

I would use banners and an opt in form. If you search you can get a plugin that will allow you to put a pop up opt in form when someone first gets to your website.

I would advise against this, because I find anything that pops up at me to be annoying an an advertisement. 99% of the time I would immediately leave your site if there's a pop-up and it's not a site I routinely go to like CNN or ESPN.

I would provide quality content, presell, and get people genuinely interested in the products or services you have to offer. Then provide helpful and useful information to build a relationship with the PEOPLE (yes, actual people) receiving your emails and sales.

    Site design is nice.

You could put some brands on it, add more upto date content and it is also very female orientated. Is that intentional?

    Great so....

Maybe I should place an opt in form in the top right instead of a banner? Maybe add a forum to the blog to get people engaging?

I would put the opt-in somewhere it'll be seen. Then there are multiple ways to attact users to sign up: offer a free report/gift, notification of future updates, sell them something, etc.

I find it's important to let the user know what they can expect from you before you start emailing in terms of the benefits of signing up and the frequency of your emails.

I would think it wouldbe easier to build a list of say 1000 people and email them all at once informing them youve just added a forum to the site and get some simultaneous traffic. As opposed to having visitors to your site come one by one and see your forum completely dead with no incentive to join.

Just my two cents, I'm no list expert so someone can clarify and tell me where I went wrong.

That does sound like a much better way of doing things! Thanks.

What you really need right now is high quality traffic. But make sure that it complies with the PPC program that you are in right now, so that you may not really get into trouble like no other. Anyways, here are some quality ways for you to get traffic.

    1. Targeted niche forums
    2. Targeted blog commenting and guest posting
    3. Targeted Facebook friends, fan pages and groups
    4. Targeted Facebook ads (a paid one if you can afford to invest)
    5. Squidoo lens, Hubpages, and other Web 2.0 properties (this will help you rank fast with unique articles)
    6. Press release distribution
    7. Document sharing sites

And for a decent opt in form for Wordpress, are you now already subscribed with Aweber or any other autoresponders? It creates opt in forms for your own list. But if you cannot afford, try Listwire which is totally free and I think there is a plugin called Listwire Integration for Wordpress.

Hope this helps you to get started in generating traffic to your website. Cheers!

    Jeff

As take a quick look, I can say that your blog is full of PLR articles. With many content duplication as well as the quality of the PLR contents on the site, I'd say it's hard for you to earn with this kind of site.

Rewriting or adding fresh new quality unque contents on the site first before doing any effort to drive potential traffic to the site otherwise you will lost the hard earning visitors.

As I could see, you have the exact same site with this site for $25. I'd recommend against this. You should make more qualify for the visitors either content or design.

I just wanna tell you that most of the links in the signature are trash and/or a trap to make you pay!

The blog was within my price range, I am currently getting the articles re written by a warrior and will improve the design as and when. Thanks for your input.

Great! Just tried to sign up to Imnica mail (I chose Imnica because Ii is made by a warrior) my bank declined the payment and blocked my card. Have to go into the bank with photo ID so my email list will now have to wait.
