    Well phpList does not have autoresponder capabilities. It just has broadcast capability.

    phpList is self hosted. Aweber is a hosted service.

      They don't compare much at all.

      Comparing AWeber with phpList is like comparing apples
      with oranges.

      AWeber has a ton more features and integrates with a
      lot of third-party scripts too.

    Thank you Rob Whisonant and Shaun OReilly. I like the idea of selfhosted because I think I would have more email control. The autoresponder features is a missing piece from the current PHPlist, however there is a plug in that cover that issue.

    Does any warrior has installed and worked before with PHPlist?
    I will tested to see how far can we go with this software and how much money can I save with it? Any ideas?

    So, in plain English: That's two different breed of cat. You can't compare them.

    One is a piece of software for self-hosted email list and the other is a service that hosts and sends emails for you.

    What is better, a boat or a car? That would be a similar question.

    I will choose a professional autoresponder services as they are professional in delivering emails to inbox. If you observe how most successful marketers manage their list of subscribers, you will realized that most of them are using 3rd party professional autoresponder services.
