How many promo emails for a $37 product?

I have product I just finished creating. How many emails should I send to my list to promo the product?

I was thinking no more 5-7 emails?

Thanks.

Do you mean when someone joins you list for a free product and you then promote this?

Or do you mean you already have a list and want to promote this product to them?

You answered WillR that it was after you offered a free product. So the next question is: Is it related or relevent to your free product.

If it's highly relevent to your free product, and your free product has 'WOWED' you subscribers then you shouldn't need too many follow ups for the paid product.

However, if you think the paid product really provides a lot of relevant value to your list then I would keep mentioning it amongst your relationship building emails (are you doing them?).

          Hi Mitch,

yes, the paid product is very closely related to the free report.

Do a product launch to your people.

Give free training on something relevant from the ebook, maybe even a free chapter.

    Create anticipation.

Make it an event that stretches at least a week.

Email them twice a day while you're running this campaign.

Go through some of Jeff Walker's free Product Launch Formula content and even buy the course if it's available.

It depends. I would create an email sequence that lasts for a whole year. So i would write 120 emails, and space them all out for every 3 days, and let the autoresponder go to work.

If your squeeze page converts, then you can even skip the email part and provide the $37 product as an upsell.

I feel there are many other factors that you need to consider too as you might need to test out different components like:

    1) Testing between directing straight to sales page against directing to a thank you which contains the link to the sales page

    2) Testing different kind of emails messages to promote the product

    3) Testing different forms of traffic generation methods

I personally feel that there is no fixed answer to your questions as it is about testing till you get it right.

    Just my 2 cents

I second what Jason said in the post above me. You really need to test all aspects of your funnel. Track each email. You may find one email does better than the others in your autoresponder series so you may want to move that up in the order. Only way to find out is to test, track and tweak no matter what email courses say.
