Outsourcing Articles for writing

I have around 100 custom articles i'm trying to outsouce and get written. The problem is, most of the good article writing services seem to have gone up in price. I'm looking to get a bulk discount of around $3 per article for 100 as opposed to $5 and higher and still have decent quality.

Anyone out there have experience with writing services with very decent price points and still retain quality through out their articles?

thanks.

    I don't think so...............
Article for $3 and expecting decent quality in it won't be possible [my personal thoughts and experience though]

With today's Internet activity, it has become a necessity for many individuals to outsource their article writing tasks.

May be elance.com is the right place to outsource !

The word length is going to be the biggest hurdle... if they're 150-200 word snippets, there's a chance someone may do you a bulk favor at that volume... otherwise, bump that dollar amount up a few bucks and you'll be better off.

Yes, 500 word articles at $3 per article AND expecting good quality is a HUGE ask of anybody. I wonder what time frame you are thinking of too. I am guessing you want them all tomorrow.

I've never used them, mass article publishing isn't how I work, so this isn't a recommendation. They just seem to be a fit for what you need.

This service had this price, but with this price they just copy and rewrite a little bit with no meaningful. If you need the good article, you must try premium and the price should be $5.

You can also try at Odesk and look for some good guy to do it. You can give them with some article for testing first.

You might consider buying a smaller amount of quality articles. If they bring in money, as they should, then you can buy more articles at higher rates.

You've got to be realistic and realize that cheap is going to get you cheap. You won't get the SE power nor the retention. Most qualified writers don't work in the third world where a bowl of rice is their only meal. Minimum $1 per 100 words is about the best way to go from a native English speaker.

Or create the articles yourself and not worry about the quality of the content. Takes only about 15 minutes to write a 500 word article... not sure if i would pay anyone for this easy task.

It never ceases to amaze me when people want for top quality for pennies.

Perhaps you could write those articles yourself, Dwight, and then pay to have them edited/rewritten. Maybe you could get lucky and get that $3 price tag that way.

I have a Question and I know its Not directly related but no point in new thread!

If you start off outsourcing Articles (Regardless of price) Wouldn't you have to continue as "The Voice" or "tone" would change if you all of a sudden decided to write a handful of Articles yourself? Or does this depend on what your gonna do with them? Is there a major Difference between an Article and a Post?

Ok so I had 3 Questions, sue me lol

@OP Ive seen gigs on fiver that say something like 2 3-400 word articles for 5.00 ... Idk the quality but you could always spend a few min correcting and editing and adding to.. Just a thought!

I write a lot of articles myself, and I outsource a lot more.

I do want to keep a particular voice with a particular pen name. Sometimes, I can use the same pen name with several writers, but other times, I have to set up a new pen name when I change writers.

You will get a feel for it.

For some websites, I have 5-6 pen names promoting those sites with articles. Other sites only have a single pen name promoting them.

It does depend on what you are after. For my main money sites I write most of the articles myself - then link to them with my blog and related Youtube videos, social postings, etc... I get a great deal of return from my content on these sites so it pays me to spend 15-minutes to write a good quality article with personality

For other sites that I don't know the subject matter as much, just testing or developing different monetization techniques I use tools like Rapid Content Wizard to pull in content and then I juggle that around/re-write/append to it as necessary or have it re-written for less

I don't know what you meant by "decent quality" but I think $3 per article is pretty low if you want about quality.

You will get for what you paid for. I have a terrible experience outsourcing the writing to an Indian writer as the quality is not good and I still need to put in some time to edit the article. I will first start off by paying more but get 10 articles that is well written.

I personally think that 10 well written articles is always better than 100 mediocre written articles.

That just means one thing and one thing only: you outsourced to the wrong people. A real content writer would have a copyscape premium account and run everything through.

Hire someone reputable and pay them what they're worth. Ask for credentials, clips, which are published articles, and ask them for references.

But be prepared to pay more than $5 an article.

You need to take into account the total cost of getting articles not just the amount you pay the writer.

The time you spend researching article topics, submitting the job, checking the articles with Copyscape, editing etc needs to be taken into account.

If you want to earn $100,000 a year (8 hours a day by 5 days a week by 50 weeks a year) your hourly rate works out at $50.

This is assuming that you can put in 8 productive hours a day which most people can't. As I am now doing, they get distracted by things like reading and commenting on forums.

It is better to pay a trustworthy professional writer more per article than have your time chewed up trying to fix the problems poor writers will create for you.

I outsource some articles for some of my projects. I pay $4.50 for a 500 word article. I get a discount because I order in bulk. Otherwise the prices would be $5.00 per article.

I have personally never found anyone who charges less than $5.00 per article. Well I have but the article sucked and did not pass Copyscape.

At the $5-dollar rate you are going to get a lot of jumbled-up, non-native English-speakers' written articles that are unresearched with only the redemptive quality being their word count.

In order to get real articles that Google wants to index, you will probably have to pay a minimum of $20 per 500 words. That's because any talented writer in the United States, England or Australia won't be able to work for less.

If you are willing to pay $25 or $30 an article, you might get a few fully-researched, original, unspun articles that someone will actually read and Google will actually index.

That's my experience. Put another more colloquial way: You'll get a lot of sh-t that when you read it -- you'll wonder what the Hell they're talking about, and you'll cry bitter tears over how you wasted your hard-earned cash!

    Bingo!

    Good Luck.

      True.

But to be honest with you, as a former journalist, I can tell you most good writers have withdrawn from the market, leaving only the dregs. I pulled out several years ago. I was being asked to write hundreds of articles for $5 to $10 a pop. I would rather work flipping hamburgers. So, I started writing my own content for my own sites and Kindle ebooks. As a result, I was able to maintain my standard of living.

I'm not saying there aren't any good writers for low pay; there are exceptions to every rule. But good writers have moved on to other jobs or professions where they can earn a living.

I know one of my former colleagues, who was nominated for a Pulitzer, is working as a spokesman for a local politician. No good writer is going to work for $5 for a 500-word article, because he or she knows in order to do it at that rate, they have to crank out quick, stucco crap. And good writers didn't become good to crank out steaming sh-t. So, as I said, most of them have withdrawn from the marketplace like I did.

As a result, the overall quality of online content is falling like a ten-ton bull walking on a sugar ceiling. This translates into fewer articles getting indexed, fewer articles being read, fewer visitors to sites and lower sales overall.

      Crap in = Crap out

That's just the way it is.

I'm with the school of thought that you'll need to pay at minimum $1.00 per 100 words for reasonably written articles that take little or no research... You may also need to work with many writers to get this rate, not all writers are willing to commit to a hundred articles on the same topic. Further you may not want to put all of your eggs in the same basket. It would be a shame to find out ten articles in and behind schedule that you have to find a new writer.

Please define "decent price points" and "quality".

I don´t see any decency in a $3 article... and I don´t see how a person can deliver a high quality article for that money.

Last I checked, iwriter charges 3$ for 500 words.

I like how most of the people on this forum agree that 3-5$ for one article and expecting top-notch quality is a bit of a stretch. But head over to other forums or freelancing websites and you will find plenty of people who believe that paying 3-5$ per article is extremely generous. Its funny.

Never the less, check out Warriors For Hire last time I browsed through that section I spotted quite a few writers who charge 1$ for 100 words and their samples seem decent.

But let me give you a bit of advice...

If you do manage to find a good writer that you can afford; don't push him. Don't demand magazine quality writing and don't make the whole process difficult for him and yourself. You don't need to make a huge ordeal about tiny details that you can fix yourself in less than a minute. He will just stop working for you. I had a client who asked me to revise a article because it was not divided into paragraphs the way he wanted it to be. Really? you can do that in 10 seconds.

    Good luck!

How long would each article be. If you want the best quality, a $5 rate per article would be the fairest price. But there are people who are willing to take the $3 price. try posting an ad in craigslist.

You're looking to pay about $300 for 100 decent articles? Well, that's been very optimistic. You might get article writers on Fiverr who'll give you a bulk discount, but expecting them to be of any particular quality is another matter for the money on the table..........

Actually guys you may be in luck. I am English and having just finished an International business degree (as a mature student) at one of the UK's top red brick universities I have decided to relocate to Malaysia early 2014 and I will be freelancing as content writer, as well as building websites and the promotional videos that are all the rage now. My pricing for 100 words of quality text will be around £2.50 per 100 words. (My cost of living in Malaysia allows for this lower pricing)

I will not be taking on huge orders to maintain the quality and avoid letting people down.
