Can't Go Past $100 a Week

For about 6 weeks ive failed to go over $100 a week.. the sales are never consistant.

Ive tried many different things, used alot of social bookmarking, blogs, forums etc.

I think it's time to start on a new project? What do you think?

    Hi JeffersonB,

Are you stating that each week you've made sales but they're never above $100...

Or are you stating for the past 6 weeks you've made less than $100 in total?

I don't think it's time to start on a new project, I think it's best to find out what you need to do to improve on your current project to succeed. Once that's done, THEN you move on to another project.

    It's your world.

Have you tried article marketing? Are you promoting products
with good landing pages, Are you building links? Do you do
      blog commenting?

Maybe you need to promote a product that sells for more money.

I have around 11 unique articles on ezine..alot on other article sites such as goarticles, articlebase etc.

I then post them on wordpress blog and the blog that comes with the host.

I have only recently started posting comments on blogs but i have started speaking one to one with members of a forum i regularly use thats in my niche.

I'm not really back linking, dont really understand that.

When i say $100 a week.. i mean everyweek it's $100 i'm making.. It was $125 for a couple weeks then dropped down.

You need to analize what you did when you were making $125 per week, and increase what is different to what you're doing now.

Well, you need to take up some courses on list building and traffic... You are o the right track, and need some help.

Nothing much can be said unless you put up your business model.

So you get lots of traffic, that's good to start with.

Is the traffic targeted? Is your offer what they really want/need?

Can you give away a free sample of your product to entice people to buy?

                  Does you sales page suck?

There are so many things that could be wrong and it's hard for anyone to really know much or give good advice without seeing the sales page.

I think Jennifer has the perfect business model and I also adopted this same model a few years ago. Many people when they first get into IM believe that one site should produce a great income and sometimes this does happen.

I still have sites that only produce $100 a month but others produce $1000. It's the combination of all of my sites that produce a nice income. What I do is tweak my sites as best I can and then move on to build another site.

Income from just one source is a recipe for disaster. This happened to me when I first started and I quickly realized that I had to have multiple sources of income if it was going to be reliable. What I would suggest, Jefferson, is move on and get a new income stream in addition to the one you have.

Even if you can just duplicate the $100 a week you are currently producing at least you have doubled your income. Keep repeating the process and sooner or later you'll have a combination of income producing sites that won't make your income as vulnerable as it is now.

That's for the feedback people - Multiple streams sounds interesting and that's where i think i'm going to take it. Not sure yet but sound's quite realistic.

I think my mistakes were not having a landing page being the main one and not having a list. I worked hard for traffic but was unable to get information from the visitors.

got to build a list and send them more info along the way. could take 5-6 visits to your site before a person buys anything.

I see you live in London. The quickest sales you can make are from trusted companies. Did you know you can make as much as £125 ($250) per sign up promoting broadband packages (from 3, BT, Virgin, etc). Many UK companies have affiliate programs that you can join. Create a simple website with a page consisting of reviews of 3 of the companies. Write 20-50 good articles about broadband and submit to ezinearticles. Link to your site from the author bio inviting people to click the link and see the offers. Write another 20-100 simple articles on the topic for Squidoo and Hubpages. You can realistically achieve this in one month. Choose another niche and repeat. Write more articles regularly for the niches that are making you money. Don't quit. Give this a 100% run for at least three months.
