That's bad news for guys that buy logos from Fiverr for $5 and enter them in $200 to $500 logo design contests. Given the extras and possible timelines, the profit margin might be a bit tight for guys doing contest arbitrage.

I noticed that as well. It's an opportunity to make more money out of the potential buyer. Fiverr is used as the shop window to get you interested in my low ticket item. However, I can also sell you higher ticket items now that I have your interest.

I honestly have no problem with this approach.

I wondered how Fiverr would evolve when they changed awhile ago. I sort of figured that the cheapo providers would attempt to capitalize on the new pricing and start charging more than $5 for their gigs, when in truth, their gigs were never worth more than $5 to start with.

Good for people who do have some talent, but I haven't found Fiverr to be loaded with people with talent. I've used it for redundant, repetitive jobs that didn't require any skills, but were a PITA for me to do.

Now someone will say that then what is the use of Fiverr where only 5$ stufffs will be sold...

And then if people get service really worth 5$.. they start complaining that they got a crappy product or they were cheated...
