As an affiliate, what is the most expensive product you sold in Amazon? My site is selling hundreds of products every day from DVDs, dildos, condoms, kitchen utensils, lawn mowers etc only once it sold a product that costs more than a thousand dollars. I got $104 commission from that sale... This product:

Amazon.com : AquaBundance Aquaponics System,...Amazon.com : AquaBundance Aquaponics System,...
How about yours? Care to share? No affiliate link please.

This is the mian reason why I don't promote consumer electronics but sometimes, people are buying it out of nowhere so I consider it a bonus.

Nice numbers there guys! I only have a couple of amazon sites, one based aroun hair clippers and the other around luxury watches. Sold a $2500 Gucci watch once, that was the most expensive amazon product for me.

Of all the products mentioned above, I think this is the most impressive one. Many people buy consumer electronics, gym equipment, and other necessity products but this one is luxury so I think you are lucky (and of course blessed)

I haven't really tried to sell anything really off of Amazon. I imagine you are using a ecommerce type platform?

No, I am not running any ecommerce site. Just simple blog with personally touched content. It's like writing fiction. You create a a short story and mention some products involved. I find it more effective than writing a direct review article. This can further explain what I mean. http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...mazon-tip.html

I routinely sell multiple Amazon products per order, of which some products are often well into the five figure price range (mostly medical, scientific, and industrial equipment and supplies).

Marketing is through my sales funnel system which includes: email promotions, telemarketing, mobile marketing, webinars, direct mail, and even direct (face-to-face) sales.

Products are selected for recommendation to my subscribers/customers (not "reviews") based on applicable features and best fit solutions.

Maybe this is the wrong place to ask - but I've been intrigued in the amazon affiliate program for some time now (even purchased some azon tools in preparation)

How exactly does amazon's program work? Which countries are blocked and how long do they cookie your affiliate so you can be commissioned from other purchases on the site? And would I be commissioned for any product the consumer might purchase in that time?

This can give you the detailed explanation.

Once the cookie is in place, it waits there for 24 hours. You should always aim for an immediate sale though, as people sometimes have cookies and shit cleared when they close the browser.

My cousin had a business of fitness equipment they sold item that are set or by group in the amazon. I think that was one of the most expensive product sold in the amazon because they sale almost a thousand dollar per purchase.

Isnt' the downside to selling big ticket items is that there is a smaller market for them? Also, since Amazon pays only a relatively small %, wouldn't it make sense to focus on more budget-friendly items and push VOLUME instead?

Kitchen appliances once were a big hit, as well as ipods (when things were new).
Promoted them with adwords and the commissions not only covered cost, but turned out a good profit.
Nowadays with all the commission caps (some categories = 10 EUR) I try to sell lower cost items but bigger orders.

I don't think you are asking the right question...

I think the smarter question would be:

How much have you made, yourself, from selling an Amazon product.

The price of the product is not the issue ...
What you get to keep is the issue.

I spent over 12 years working in the book industry - including dealing with Amazon.

Ah!. I recently got a 19.23% commission on a samsung galazy phone with Verizon plan which was only $129 but I got $25.

The most expensive product I have sold was $2599 for a Canon camera bundle and I got $103.96 and I think it was just 3 days ago.

I would love to get an 8% commission on a $2k+ product though.

Selling electronics articles is a good idea but believe me this industry is very much competitive. Therefore selling an electronic device is actually being very difficult.

The biggest sale I had came about five years ago. I had a site featuring outdoor furniture, patio accessories like firepits, etc.

      No "fictions", though...

One outfit bought 40 sets of a redwood table and chairs for a restaurant at a resort...

I kept waiting for the reversal, but all I got was the advertising fee.
