Looking for a tool to track my time and projects

Hi All,

I believe everyone here know how tough it is for a designer or an online marketer to keep track of his time and projects.

I work for a lot of clients from various countries and most of the time on hourly basis. I need a tool that can keep track of my time and activities and at the same time manage all my projects and help me in reporting.

Is there a tool that can do this? I heard Basecamp can do some part of it.

Please let me know your experiences and suggest me tools that are good in this.

Pete

This thread was started by the OP and there is nothing wrong with the question or where it is posted. If you feel it should be on another part of the forum then perhaps you could suggest one. WF is difficult to navigate when you are new.

To answer the question, I use Harvest. It's excellent and has a free trial option

Yeah, Basecamp is not really meant for time tracking. Its main purpose is for collaboration/project management. For time tracking, you could try Replicon, Desk Time or Time Doctor. But to compare them here's an article I found on Facebook that is worth checking out.

Yes base camp helps you with the projects, Replicon is my personal top choice. It is an excellent task management and time recording tool.

Generally speaking BaseCamp is newer, faster, better, with one annoying exception

    Ironically enough...

Google docs, Google calender, and a simple Google timer have done wonders for me

Might not be polished up and sexy, but damn do they work well
