Solo Ad Clicks - Can They Be Responsive?

Hey Guys,

I'm not exactly new to IM, but I'm certainly not a seasoned IM multi-millionaire either.

What I'd like to hear is your thoughts on the quality of your incoming Solo Ad clicks.

You constantly hear people say that Solos Ads are the quickest way to build a marketing list. And this is the stage I'm up to in my business. And although I've spent quite a lot of money on Solos, I have to say Iam struggling to recoup much of that money through promotions.

Now, this could be because of a few things. Firstly, I'm thinking it's highly likely that these seasoned 'receivers of marketing emails' get so many that they need something double-exceptional before they even bother to open an email.

Or possibly they are just blasted with that many offers that they are not gonna open emails for any reason.

And yet Solo Ad sellers typically advertise their lists as being responsive.

Does everyone experience this, especially at first? And does the situation improve over time as experience allows us to produce better subject lines, body copy and refine our Solo Ad sourcing?

Any helpful thoughts welcome.

Thanks guys...

  • I never used solos will try them the first time for the new package I'm finishing. The research I did sugest the key is tracking, I have come to know people well and I will not be shocked if they sell solo-ads then send scam traffic like adfly or other junk. So you have to watch it like a hawk.

I have a proper tracking program, and I have only been taking solos from people that come recommended by people in fb groups I'm in. So it's not the tacky adfly traffic you mention. Still not responsive yet though

Sola Ads does work if you have a fantastic lead magnet that everyone would kill for.

I create squeeze page with 50% opt in rate. The key is to have a good header and swipe that pre-sells your squeeze page. So it captures only people who wants your lead magnet. That will get you a high opt in rate.

What gets you paid is a good followup. The money is made in the back end.

I would say it depends on the solo seller. I have had better results from solo ad sellers that have built their list with methods other than solo ads. While they may be responsive from the first click and actually opt-in, they many times ignore your follow ups unless it's another freebee.

There are big differences between where you buy the solo ads from. I'm just about to get in to it myself. Maybe try to find someone in your niche that can recommend a good place to buy solo ads from that has lists related to your niche. Good luck. Stay positive.

A solo ad from the right person can be awesome. I recently started getting request to do solo ad mailings for people but I had never thought of doing it before so I said no I only do ad swaps with people who have a good reputation. I don't even know how much you should charge to send out a solo ad. I have to do some research on this before I start charging people.

I'm an Email and Affiliate Marketer but I've never touched Solo Ads. I don't really know whether they can be responsive (They Probably Can). If you want to get responsive solo clicks, you need to make sure the Solo Ad Sellers are adding fresh leads to their list everyday if not their list tend to be unresponsive.

I've never taken the good 'ol advice of buying solo ads for the reason I'm getting much cheaper, much more targeted clicks elsewhere. I'm paying anywhere from 1/3 of a Cent to 5 Cents a click.

As the Iron Lady famously once said

"Don't follow the crowd, let the crowd follow you."

      Best of luck mate

I've purchased several solo ads and I've had varying experiences with them. The recent solo ads that I've bought preformed well and I broke even when my $40 investment for 100 clicks.

Solo ads can be tricky and it takes some time to get them preforming decently. It also depends on the vendor you use and the kind of offer you have. I've found that promoting my own product via solo ads perform much better than when I promote affiliate products. So it's really just a matter of continued testing.

I wouldn't suggest that you solely rely of solos for your traffic and sales. I'd say incorporate another free traffic generation method as well (if you're not doing so already). That you can diversify and the sales you make from the free traffic is pure profit.

Ideally the ultimate goal is to have a percentage of the income you generate from your advert feed your paid advert cycles. That way you can quickly scale up, profit and keep your money in your pocket.

Solo Ads do work, but it depends on a lot of variables as always.

Who are you buying the solo ad from, what is the offer and incentive that you are promoting?

All these questions AND answers will determine the amount of clicks, sales, and subscribers that your solo ad gets you.

In order to make money with Solo ads, you need to have a solid sales funnel. Not just a solid squeeze page, but also a good paying offer, a good OTO.Also add some upsells,,downsells.. set up thank you page for clickbanking..
No matter how good reputation the solo ad seller has, if your funnel sucks(i'm not saying your does, as i don t know your funnel) you will not make money.
People often make this mistake, and don't understand the real power of having a good sales funnel up!
It makes the difference from 0$ a day and 1000$ a day..
    Trust me i know..

Stick with those who are trusted sellers and provide plenty of testimonials. 9 times out of 10 they have great quality.

Tip: Anytime buying from someone new, get their smallest package.

Do you have any upsells? Upsells are the difference between never profiting from a single solo, to profiting on almost all solos... and then some.

The term 'responsive' is 100% relative. Nothing has any meaning unless compared to something else, so in this case, responsive compared to what?

    Just something to consider.

Like many things, the more you focus on something, you basically can't help but get better at it.

So yes, with more experience, trial, and error, your numbers will improve considerably, but only if you strive to make that happen
