Internet Marketing Overwhelm...

Hi everyone,

I'm 3 months in to Internet Marketing and feeling very disheartened by it all. I feel like i'm putting so much time into creating optin pages and getting traffic and getting nowhere with it... thinking of going into paid traffic to speed things up...

Would love to hear your stories of when you brokethrough with IM in the beginning

Cheers,

Mel

You will go through stages with internet marketing. In the beginning its a lot of time, learning and not doing much. Even though you may have the passion your mind is not use to what needs to be done to make serious money online. Here's a tip though

Focus on the simple things like you are. Building a list, getting traffic and building relationships. Those three things are the key to making money even though its not always automated you can worry about that later on down the road. For now focus on a monthy income your happy with.

Paid advertising is by far the way to go its fast and works if you know what your doing.
Free advertising is great but it takes longer (although don't underestimate social media) you can easily find contacts, talk to them and make a few thousand dollars before the night is over if you have something of value to offer.

Paid traffic is the best you can have while building your email list. free traffic doesn't worth it. research for some good solo ad seller and test them by purchasing the lowest package. test on 2-3 sellers and buy more from the best one.

After getting decent subscribers start swamping with peoples in your niche. keep in mind to see their stats before swapping with anyone or their list might destroy your list too.

Then start mailing to your list with basic steps. rinse and repeat, good luck!

I think paid advertising is something that you should have been doing from the start. You can make good money with free marketing, but it takes time. But if you want to test out a business model and see if you can make money in a niche.... quickly.... paid advertising is your best bet. And if it's profitable, you dont have to quit it.

Paid advertising is great, but you need to be careful and watch what you are doing. It is very easy to blow a ton of money and get nothing out of it if you don't know what you are doing.

Start small at first and then expand once you know the best places to spend your money.

      Good luck.

I agree with ae2080, that paid advertising can be great - but heed the warning that you can get carried away and if you're not very careful could end up spending a lot of money for nothing!

As you are fairly New to IM I suggest you spend a little more time learning as much as you can on the Basics of Marketing and then go on from there!

I think everyone's gone through the "Information Overload" stage at the start of their IM careers. I jumped from method to method to method to method until I stuck with one (Product Creation and List Building) and now it's my full time income.

Paid Traffic will help your efforts go faster and is incredibly essential, but don't overlook free traffic since it can also benefit you as well.

Definitely agree with rmolina88, Information Overload happens to all of us when we first starting out, you just need to make sure to act act act and not keep reading about different methods and you will test it later. Gather some information, act on it and keep doing the same thing until you find something that works and you can keep using or add your own little touch to it in order to better suit you.

It takes me at least half a year to understand how things work in IM. You want sell things, right? The most important lesson I have found is to provide GOOD VALUE to your potential customers so that they trust and listen to you.

Paid traffic will bring you targeted and instant results but you do need to learn before spending much money on it to be on safe side.

You really just have to focus on a personal interest or passion. That way if you don't make money you'll still be having fun. The biggest thing I see is that people pick a "hot" area, then get bored with it and give up too soon. If you do something you love, you'll have the energy and commitment to push through even during the lean times and WILL eventually turn that enthusiasm into wealth! Don't give up. Just take it one step at a time!

    Hey Mel,,

If you haven't already done so read this guys post.

Don't change your tactics yet. It's highly likely that you'll end up doing both paid and free marketing, but for now make it a commitment to make it with free traffic first.

Create a habit of success. Master what you are doing now and then move on.

    Good luck
