Need Constructive Feedback - Is this too Narcissistic?

Hey guys,
I just built my first squeeze page and I am looking for constructive feedback..
So I have 3 goals, make it visually attractive/capturing, build a large opt in list and ultimately get people to see my opportunity video. (I plan to add products for download in the future)

Here are a few questions I have:
1. In doing a squeeze page, should I be promoting my opportunity from the get go, or should I do some kind of testimonial or give something away first and then have them opt in to see the opportunity?

2. On a scale of 1 - 10 how would you rate the overall look and feel of the page?

3. Please provide any other feedback. I plan to use this as my main landing page for a large marketing campaign so if it sucks please tell me now! haha

4. Part of the promotion is promoting our team..and myself as a leader..do I spend to much time on myself in the about me? I don't want to come across as conceited/narcissistic/selfish online etc.. I just don't know how much to post about me..

Thanks for your honesty guys!

Here is the page.

Hmmmm, seems like a legit business, but you might get mixed reactions here? Might have been better in the Business opp, section?

Yeah, l have done a few squeeze pages, and apart from Adwords being out of the question, (they correctly hammer pages like this) there are some changes you could consider.

    • Firstly the video eventhough having relevant content, is way to long. I would edit it down as much as possible. The tropical goal setting part is good, but a bit shorter would be good.

As you can see by clicking on my sig, links, l tend to show the product first then motivate second, but that is just me.

    • The text needs to be the same size and contrast, etc. Small, blurry text will put some customers off!

    • The pic, of yourself needs some space for the text.

    • Include the word free as much as possible, so free in headline, free downlaod, etc.

    • I generally give them something, usually a free video series, and if you get rid of the name part of signing up, it will increase conversions by 10%.

    • You can also increase signups or conversions by up to 30% by removing double optins, but that is up to you?

    • As for selling up front, l did put a small clickable graphic for a related product up top, and it did get a sale, with the buyer not signing up, so, you would no doupt see a small increase in sales, but a possible decrease in signups?

    • You could have a large arrow pointing towards the signup, and give it a minute or two, at the end of the video, since your signup form is easy to miss.

    • I also wouldn't do the text in bold type, it gives the impression you are desperate or trying to hard.

    • The rest is probably fine, just use common sense and clean it up as much as possible.

    • I did skim the video here and there, but a more detailed description of exactly what the product is and how it works, would be good.

Signing up isn't too bad, especially if a relevant freebie is on the other side, but the product page give very little info, (maybe the video fills in the gap?) so the more info, the better.

Hope that l helped, good luck.

    Shane

PS might be a good idea to disable the links for signup and product purchase, for feedback purposes. I don't think that the Mods, are crazy about promotional links outside of the sig, file?

This is exactly what I was looking for!. I just disable the sign up links while getting feedback. Thank you so much, I'm gonna go through and work on making the changes you suggested.

I'm using Squeezeninja so there are some things I don't have control over. I don't know if I can remove adding "name" in the sign up. I don't really need that so that would be great.

I copied and pasted from my webpage and it won't unbold, the wysiwyg editor is really limited, I can't get to the source to change it...I may have to retype from scratch but oh well. I def thought the same thing but couldn't change now you helped me make up my mind to fix it. haha.

the video on there is 18 minutes... what is an average retention rate vs length? 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15?

    Thanks again

      Cruzer,

Your idea of a squeeze page is a lot different than mine.

I visited your page and it looks like a long sales letter except you're not really making the offer yet.

I view the squeeze page as a very simple, short, enticing "attention grabber offering a benefit (usually a freebie) in exchange for an email signup." I believe the squeeze page should have only one simple purpose - get the prospect's permission to market to them via their email address.

My goal is to get the entire squeeze above the fold so that no scrolling is necessary. Grab their attention, exchange something of value for an email, you're done.

The only way you will know the effectiveness of your squeeze page is to test it and track results.

You mentioned you have a large campaign coming up? If I were you, I would test the effectiveness of your squeeze on a smaller group first. You want to optimize it on real traffic (not just asking opinions from folks on the WF) before you spend a lot of money on the campaign.

The best of luck to you in this effort.
