What's the arrow thingy called on the screen that you move around with your mouse or track pad?

It's not a cursor...

What is it?

  I would have said mouse pointer too. But, depending on the context, if you called it a cursor, I'm sure most people would know what you're referring to.

  Either cursor or mouse pointer!
  I relate both terms to the same thing!
  
  Although to be technical the cursor is the little flashing line where each letter we type is! You know the one? type something now and look at the screen - there it is!
