Higher pay for writing articles...

OK, I remembered that there are some websites that pay like $10 to even $50 for article writing.

Which website is it? Does anyone knows?

I forget the names of those sites, but I do remember the ones that paid $50 per article were very selective, and they were on very technical topics. If you're looking to make money for writing articles and stuff, it might be a good idea for you to focus on branding yourself as a ghostwriter instead of publishing stuff on free sites.

You might want to check out Tiffany Lambert's (formally Tiffany Dow) Ghostwriting Cash (.com) course. In addition to learning how to do basic ghostwriting business stuff, you also learn how to run ghostwriting specials and stuff like that.

    Good luck,
    Joey

You can also try reselling writing services from one forum to another. Some people make a decent profit flipping fiverr writing gigs.

        This is an excellent product.

I recently started an Outsourcing site at FreelanceWritersReview.com, where as a writer you can set your own prices.

This is still a fairly new site, but I have loads of advertising moving forward for it.

Are you asking me to check it out personally, Bill? I mean are you inviting me to be a part of it?

Well golly gee, thanks Bill! :p

Right now I have a huge new account that is going to be keeping me busy for at least a month, but after that, I'll surely check it out.

GREAT stuff, Bill. I like where your site is heading

I added it to my list of "pay per article" websites, if you don't mind.

Joseph, feel free to check out that list above. Hope it helps.

iWriter : Article Writing Service | Get Content For Your Website, Cheap! is a good place to start, if you're good at writing you can "grow" and get to choose higher paid jobs. The site works pretty smooth, the best writers are paid well (based on reviews and feedback) while the average writers is paid about $3 per article.

Do you need writing credentials or journalism degree to compete on this site? For awhile, a degree was one of the requirements for publishing on eHow.

Actually, I've only tried oDesk, Freelacer and Elance among many outsourcing sites. I have acquired good-paying clients from oDesk and Elance but never on Freelancer. I abandoned my Freelancer account already, actually.

I get more clients from oDesk than Elance, however. Sometimes, I'm lucky to get high-paying clients from oDesk. Sometimes, they are only willing to pay $0.01 per word.

Have you tried any of those three outsourcing sites, Joseph?

I have used Freelancer in the past too, but the prices have dropped significantly. How has been your experience with Elance?

I would suggest you try to become a ghostwriter (the warrior forum can be a great place to sell your services). From there you can break the market at a low price and raise it as you build a reputation (I can charge 4-5 times more now, then when I started ghostwriting a couple of years ago).

If you can write great content then you can make that kind of money. If you can't then clients on such sites won't accept garbage. Try "Writer Access".

I am a former news reporter and made a living writing for about 20 years.

Today, I make my living as a full-time online marketer via ebooks and selling hard goods via ecommerce sites.

I love to write; it was my life, but the market is so poor, I have dropped out of the game, as have a legion of my fellow journalists and copywriters. A researched, quality article takes at least three hours to write and revise. I can't work for minimum wage.

$50 for a quality article is far too little, unless you are willing to crank out crap.

    That's the long answer.

The short answer: today's freelance writing market is dead, unless you want to work for pennies.

You can get assignments on elance or guru.com for $50 articles, but in order to satisfy a demanding customer, you will have many rewrites and will spend 5 to 7 hours to get them to approve it.

    Not worth it for me.

You asked a question; this is my experience. Maybe others can paint a prettier picture.

That's why I am out of the writing biz.

It should look like Fiverr. I used a Fiverr clone to build it, then customized it to my particular needs.

On my site, authors will choose how much they get paid, not site management.

And, each author can add an unlimited number of "writing samples" to their profile, to give buyers more confidence in the listed writers.

You bring your writing services to my audience, and I will keep an audience of interested buyers coming to the site.

Is is worth specialising in one topic, so you become an expert in one specific field. People will always pay more money for something that requires technical knowledge. You want to become to 'go to' guy for dentist articles, or virus removing software articles or.....you get the idea. This is just my thoughts, I could be wrong.
