What new skills have you learned since starting?

I've looked back upon everything I've learned since starting out with "Internet Marketing" many moons ago and can't believe the vast array of skills I've gained and the competence levels I have achieved.

It makes me wonder.. from all you - what new skills and knowledge have you gained from your experience?

    from experience, the most important thing after you "learn" from wso, case studies, etc, is to put that into real actions and see the result yourself.

    It takes courage, time and efforts to do that. If you feel it's hard to do it, then your next still that you have to learn is to PUSH yourself to do it.

    Persistence!!! Internet marketing is full of such a wide range of techniques and methods that having the persistence to keep going even when most methods fail you (heck some methods just don't suit some people), is the most important aspect of being able to succeed long term.

      Yes... I mean the soft skills are important - the funnel creation, copywriting...
      but nothing is so important as PERSISTENCE.

      As IMer, we fail almost in every of our attempt before we get it right and get profitable.

      So I would say... PERSISTENCE is the most important skill we must learn.

    I am trying to learn internet marketing since few months ago and I found that I got to improve my English skill first before anything else. (English was my third language)

    I read everything from forums to blogs and now I try to type more often to present myself.

      I myself am just delving into the world of internet marketing as a prospect for a future career and I have to say it's much more complicated than I anticipated. I can tell by analyzing successful bloggers and copywriters that there is a vast skill set required to become successful in the field. Of all the skills you guys have learned which ones did you find to be the most useful for early success?

    I've learned HTML, Javascript, Copy-writing, Social Media Marketing, Video Marketing, Email Marketing..... PPC, PPV, Graphics Design.... The list goes on and on.

    I can now create a simple website from Scratch using Dream-weaver.

    That is the ability that has most surprised me, and that took the longest

    It really is pretty amazing to think about what you knew and what your mindset was that first time you Googled "how to make money online" or whatever it was that got you here, compared to what it is now if you've been working at it for a while.

    I believe it is true for most that you probably know more than you think you do if you really stop and think about everything you've learned and how far you've come since then.
