INTERNET MARKETING

Hello all,

I'm a young college student studying communications and marketing and I recently have taken a great interest in copywriting. I've been searching all over for information and advice for aspiring copywriters and have found myself quite overwhelmed with the wealth of videos and articles on the internet. There are so many different aspects of internet marketing that I'm not sure where to start.

Basically what I'm looking for is some simple advice on getting into the copywriting/marketing scene. What are some things I will need to know, sites I should pay visits too, books to read, habits to practice, etc...

Any type of help would be greatly appreciated.

The best bit of advice I can give you, and the advice that really set me off into internet marketing is to immerse yourself in this forum. The warrior forum is such a powerful place and really is the place to go for any aspiring internet marketer.

Go to WarriorPlus and check out their recent WSOs of the Day, these contain some of the most powerful knowledge from the forum and I am sure you will find some to suit your interests.

  Have you visited the copywriting section of the Warrior Forum yet? There is a lot of good discussion going on there. Here is the link.
  
  Also, there are some excellent copywriters here on the forum that are immensely knowledgeable and willing to help out. Just as one example, search for threads by Alexa Smith. Her posts always have great value and point you to helpful resources.
  
  There are many places and resources, both here on the forum and elsewhere, that will help you to peruse the field and see what the possibilities are for a newcomer.

Definitely check out "The Gary Halbert Letter" website. It's PACKED with info. Gary Halbert just might be the best copywriter ever. That information is now all free.

Also, if you really want to learn a bunch cool copywriting tricks, take a look at the book "Cashvertising". It's really cheap on Amazon Kindle; just about 8 bucks. That book has some amazing things in it, and it's like a shortcut to learning copywriting.

You know, I just started my interest in the same subject as you.
But I must admit, my interest startes over a year ago!
Copywriting is a great way to make a lot of money, you have to be renoubd first though!

However, copywriting is not a get-rich-quick scheme but a make career type of thing! You have to dedicate yourself to doing anything you set out to do!

So I would reconmend a book by Joe Sugarman called adertising secrets opf the written word!

I can assure you tht this book with transform your ideas, notions and perceptions of copywriting!

But in spite of already being "quite overwhelmed", you've apparently started a thread to ask for more advice and information? How's this likely to work out for you? I'm not trying to criticize you - just to introduce a cautionary note and a suggestion that it may be a good idea to digest slowly and to avoid information overload.
