The Number 1 Buying Emotion: Get Bigger Checks

Here's how to instantly increase you conversion rates in any niche.

A good majority of people in here sell informational based products, either as an affiliate or with their own info products.

The number one question running through everyones mind while they stare at that order button is... "Will this Work for me or can I do this" not if it works in general, but if they themselves can actually do it.

That's it.

In your message focus on the simplicity and that it works for average people.

THis is how I'm able to get on leaderboards. I don't hire fancy video teams, or editing teams. I just jump on a make a super ugly video.

I fumble my words, and get sidetracked and begin talking about the dog for a few minutes...

All for one reason.

I want the viewer to say "well if this idiot can do it, then so can I"

Make people feel that it's possible for them to do it. Stay on a level people can relate to. Show them your real, and that there is nothing special about you.

Once people feel comfortable in the fact they can do it, they will click the order button and buy without hesitation.

Yes. This is a great thing to remember. Always emphasize the pure simplicity of what you're selling. Otherwise they'll always have that mental block there in their minds, making them feel "unsafe" about the purchase.

Showing your customers that you're like them is something that's not used enough in advertising, and it's a shame because it can be very effective.

But that's the big battle, getting brave enough to get on cam and post it

I agree, it sure can make a difference.

This is the basis for one of the greatest sales letters of times, the guy who wrote "The Lazy Guide To Getting Rich," or something like that.

He basically started the letter out telling everybody what an idiot he was, then proceeded to sell his stuff.

He triggered the "I'm smarter than THIS guy, so this should be a piece of cake for me..."

Being real, with human mistakes, goes a long ways in building up the necessary trust EVERYBODY needs to feel before they make a decision.

      Hey guys,

most of us are not blessed with the classic good looks of Tom Cruise or Denzel Washington. And I'm pretty sure that's what makes newcomers reluctant to get on camera and show themselves to the world.

If you can get over that hurdle, all you have to do then is just practice speaking so that you can at least get your message across clearly. And you are done.

Like the OP says, if you can look and sound as good as the next 'idiot', you're in with a chance - lol

I was terrified the first time I got on camera. I looked like the biggest idiot ever seen. People were buying though. THey most likely felt bad for me.

it's really pretty easy after you do it a few times. it gives you a huge advantage over people that are too afraid to do it.

Thanks for sharing. I agree with the point on showing the real side of us and doing a video of yourself is indeed one of the best way to build connection with the visitors. Next thing that I should be trying very soon

I've been wanting to test this on a squeeze page, but have never gotten up the courage.

Curious, how much does it help on a squeezie? Any experiences?

      Ron,

I have some vids out there, though not on squeeze pages so I can't comment on effectiveness on squeeze pages. But all I'd say is that all the big boys swear by videos these days.

If you look at Alex Jeffreys, Rich Schefren, Frank Kern etc, they make big use of video just because it's so effective.

For you, I'd say get yourself a shot of Jack Daniels, some Dutch courage, and go for it - lol

        Your right

Course for me it would be a couple ice cold shots of Rumpleman's.

People who are not confident to get on camera because of their looks, needs to look from this perspective:

If you live, walk and breathe in the offline world, and everyone you interact with where you live, sees you...then what's really the difference showing yourself to the rest of the world?

I guess people are afraid of "online trolls" throwing unnescessary negative comments at you...and that's fair enough, but you should just ignore them like everyone else...or you could delete comment sections/the comments.

at the end of the day, making videos is the number 1 way to reach out to your audience period. That's the way to build rapport the quickest, and then there's trust and then buying happens.

Also, making videos are terrifying at first, but do a 30 days video challange. Make a video every day and put it online. I did it, got rid of my fear of the camera period. Now Im rocking video

      Very well said!

And actually if your doing them for your own salespages/squeeze page, you won't hear any comments
