How well does ClickBank really work?

8 replies
I have some good products that I can list.. but how well does Clickbank really work? I'm thinking of doing a whole series of e-books, but they are very specific. They are related to art and not internet marketing.

Are people on Clickbank going to be able to push the products?

    Brilliantly. It's been established longer than Google, and has paid out about $2.5 Billion to vendors and affiliates during that time. And countless Warriors are making their livings through ClickBank. Not easy to recommend it much more highly than that, really?

    you have high quality products and sales pages which serious, professional affiliates know will convert their traffic, and which actually do convert their traffic, and you know how to attract affiliates, you have as good a chance as almost anyone. But don't imagine that affiliates will come flocking just because your products are listed on ClickBank. As is the case wherever you sell them, it doesn't work that way at all: you need to attract affiliates, which is a marketing skill all of its own.

    (The "sales page" criteria mentioned above mean that you either have to be a talented copywriter or to employ one. But that isn't "ClickBank-specific": that's going to be true however/wherever you sell them.)

    Speaking for myself, given my own interests in art and specifically in painting, I'd certainly be potentially interested in looking, after you have proven conversions, if the products and their sales pages satisfy my basic product-selection criteria. No serious affiliate is going to say much more than that, at this stage.

    Their acceptance process is meticulous make sure you have all your privacy policies, terms of use etc along with your product otherwise they will not accept your offer. Also, on Flippa.com people sell full packages of CB ready products along with all the info you need so if you ever run out of products to list on CB you can use Flippa as your source.

    People will push whatever can make them some money so the trick will be for you to be able to do the hard work at the beginning and sale some copies and when affiliates will see that they will start paying attention to you .Good Luck!

    I know my product is good. So all I'm missing is the sales page.

    Please, someone direct me to what they consider to be an awesome sales page.

      @CaptainPike

      PM sent regarding preliminary proposal for my copywriters to professionally design sales pages for your products. I promote over 300 Clickbank products and nearly all are custom made sales pages (w/authorization; completely by-passing the vendor sales pages). Consider that Clickbank provides a managed JV option as a percentage of sales which may be in lieu of copywriter fees.

    It’s very hard to recruit affiliates. You have to prove that your sales letter and your products have a good conversion rate. You also have to advertise your affiliate program.

    It’s hard to have the attention of affiliates if you are promoting an unknown, new product.

    Alexa showed you how most affiliates think. All affiliates are quite demanding like her.

    If they will dislike a detail, they will abandon your wonderful products without thinking twice.
