The Power of Momentum
One magic decision or key contact or lightning strike will make all the difference?
You're wrong.
One moment can't change anything. But a SERIES of moments can.
Let me explain... (I've got this point wrong a lot)
Who is more powerful? The guy who busts his ass in the gym, gives it his all, then stops doing it for a month?
Or the guy who runs every day a quarter mile and then walks home. (But he does it every day.) Who doesn't worry about doing it right, just gets out and does it. Then builds things up from there.
Think about it.
We all try so hard for that one knockout blow.
When the key is to out wait your opponent. To do the little things he won't because he's not willing to take the time or energy and is only looking for the quick solution.
Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. That's what the pros do.
Ever heard slow and steady wins the race?
I have a hard time myself trying to not be perfect. I want to get things right, you know?
When the key is just to do something positive, no matter how small, but do it CONSISTENTLY.
The only question I want to ask myself on any given day is "How can I do one positive thing for myself today? What's one step I can do?"
Like writing this post ;-)
Your direction changes when you start showing up every day for something, no matter how small. That's when your life REALLY changes. Not in the single moment, but in the consistency.
Thoughts?
