Buying Websites (Flipping)

Hey guys how is it going? I have seen a site i really want to buy and it is a good price for it! What i want to know is how easy is it for a site to trade hands?

How does a seller actually send you the website? I tried finding out on google but only found flipping tutorials, nothing actually told me how to receive a whole website and upload it to my own hosting etc.

It really depends on both you and the seller - what the two of you want.

The domain would obviously need to be transferred into your name either at the same registrar or a different one. Some sellers will offer to continue hosting the website for you for several months or offer to move it to your own server for free.

Ok, so they would move it to my server and i would not have to worry about messing stuff up? I have a godaddy account and have 3 sites on my hosting account already, so would i just create a new folder and give him the my ftp details and he can upload it?

It is not difficult to set up a website on your server. There should be youtube videos for that. Also, you can outsource it for $15 or so on freelancer, etc. Hope this helps.

A seller worth his salt should transfer and set up the site for you. I always do. I made these instructions on how to do that in case the seller doesn't.
