    Hey Peter!

    A few quick tips:
    • Get business cards and spread them around.
    • Create flyers and ask local shops to put them on the counter.
    • Create a T-Shirt with your logo and wear it around town.
This might inspire you to think of some more on your own, make sure to post them for the other members

    Hope this helps!
    Cheers,

I just made a video that relates to this.

You might get more useful tips by investing a little more detail in your question.

Join a business network group. Make sure it is local to your business. In my offline business I attended two breakfast meeting groups for many years.
One was called Business Network International. They have groups all over the world. (BNI)
The other was a UK based one organised by the Federation for small busineses (FSB)
I made friends with many well established business owners. Eventually they started giving me their trade and their friends recommendations.
So rub shoulders with other business owners.

Create a Facebook group for the company, add some local people you know to the group, and ask them to add people they know. Focus on growing the group, while building awareness about what the company does.

You can exploit all of these:

    Newspaper ads
    Radio jingle
    Cold calling
    Enlist in local directories
    Banners/flyers
    Word of mouth
    Seminar

    And the likes.....

I'm sorry, without knowing what kind of business or customer it is these solutions seem like throwing a hardware store at a bent nail.

Local and Online are not mutually exclusive. Nor would they ever be when it comes to marketing a business with a local market/presence. Yes, there are offline considerations. But all your online marketing is easily focused on the actual audience for the business, too.

OK use a business advertising balloon to gain more exposure. This is great for big promos. Advertise all prices are 50% OFF in our super summer savings. Well, one guy uses an inflatable alien and flying saucer. He has a huge sign. It reads:
Grand Opening - your savings are out of this world!

It depends on the type of business but you can gain a lot of great local exposure using Facebook pages and advertising IF you do your targeting well.

I added 400 legitimate fans to a local businesses Facebook page in less than 3 days last week. It only cost about $120. That is 400 people who now know about that business and didn't previously. It's now also 400 people who will receive any updates and posts that business makes on their fanpage.

    That's great return on investment.
