where did you find your mentor

If you have had a mentor who has made a difference for you...share with us how and where you meet. A person who shrank your learning curve.

I found my very first mentor by subscribing to his newsletter. He encouraged his readers to give him feedback so I gave it to him.

After several months I offered to do some work for him for free if he taught me how HE made his money online. So he enrolled me into two of his programs and had one of his right - hand marketers train me. I learned a lot about marketing during that first year.

I stumbled a lot and learned a lot. And ultimately, I decided to QUIT his programs and CREATE my own. And that's when the money really started pouring in.

He was a little bitter for awhile when I quit his programs, but over time he realized I had to do what was best for ME and his programs weren't cutting the mustard.

The only mentor you need is YOURSELF. Read WF. Join the war room. Do experiments. Create a plan. Test it. Find what works. Pour everything you've got into it. Succeed.
People who say it can't be done should not interrupt those who are MAKING IT HAPPEN

I found my mentor in junk mail. He sent a biz op out many years ago. I learnt offline marketing from him and Internet Marketing is only an extension of offline marketing. The marketing principles are the same, only the channels are different.

You should be able to find one at networking or personal development events. Otherwise, pick up some books, watch some videos, and absorb knowledge. That's where my mentoring comes from.

i've had tons of "coaches" that i paid for, and honestly some of them just took my money with half-assed teaching. but i did learn alot from each of them, and collectively they taught me quite a bit about IM. so if they see this message i want to personally thank each and every one of them for getting me to where i am today. the best person to learn from is yourself. you can have an abundance of teachers and information in front of you, but it is up to you whether you choose to take in the information and learn it.

agreed with gold pro though, youtube has a huge number of videos that you will find helpful in your quest for success.

I bought two very good WSO`s and then I was introduced to my mentor in a follow up email... pretty solid sales funnel I fell into if you ask me!

Lucky I did.. I had a lot of great ideas, but was still running round like a headless chicken.

    Now its GAME TIME!

Roughly, 20% of my knowledge came from a membership site in 2011, 30% through "Free Stuff" here on the Forum and EVERYTHING ELSE, i Googled my way to figure things out.
