After a bunch of $47 ebooks, what's next?

Hi,

I've been in the warriorforum for 2 years already...started from nothing to now making
a consistent $4,000 a month online from clickbank products mostly with micro niches...

i kind of feel like i've hit a wall...

2007 - year i first made money from clickbank with my 1st ebook
2008 - decided to duplicate this as much as possible with 10+ websites (basic ebooks)
2009 - improving conversion (testing, tracking, now building a butterfly marketing site, etc)

but now, what DO you suggest is NEXT STEP???

most of my business is just $27 - $47 ebooks...

i want to know what is the NEXT step??

i would love to hear from people who specifically were
in the same path as me...in terms of selling clickbank ebooks...

what did you do NEXT to take your business to the NEXT LEVEL??

thanks

BJ

    Not in your position (yet!) but the obvious answer would seem to be back end. Get a list of people who bought your 47$ ebooks and sell them a 90$ ebook? or sell them more 47$ ebooks.

    I Agree with J Smith, build your lists and offer backend products. Perhaps a membership site is in order too?

    Do you get others to promote your ebooks?

    Sell high price point backend products ex. video course, audio cds, physical products?

    Blast your list with a survey to figure out what their biggest problems are and create products to fill those problems = $$$

    im so used to clickbank products...and i am NOT familiar with
    backend products so far...

    i think so far...i will create a membership monthly paying program using clickbank
    and a membership software...

    as far as backend physical products, who do you use? i heard disk.com is great
    for physical products...

    most people agree that clickbank is best for digital products...as for physical products, what is the MAIN one?

      I have 2 pieces of advice for you about this statement.

      1) Make sure you don't create a type of monthly membership
      that will be way too much work for the money.

      I did this on my first try and basically ended up canning the
      project b/c the $2,500/month it was bringing was not worth
      the time I was putting into it.

      2) Only use Clickbank if you are going to try to get affiliates
      to sell it for you.

      If you are planning on only pushing it yourself, don't use
      Clickbank because you lose a lot of control.

      Great quick little video that gets the main points across and made me aware of where the real money is and the importance of putting the thought into backend products right from the start.

    Hi BJ,
    I'd go with a $197 video course and follow that up with a $997 one to one coaching programme. Once you have testimonials and students making the kind of money you're making now, push up your prices
    Kind regards,
    Tony

    You should build a list of your buyers and then push some affiliate products to them. Go for a higher ticket product, maybe a membership site.

    I'd also suggest, as Tony did, a coaching program in that price range.

    It's time for your to start creating your own business empire and that mostly means creating your own products. No better way to build relationships with people than giving them a reason to give you money.

    Believe me, once people have committed to you in a financial transaction, you've taken your relationship with them to another level.

    As of now, if I'm not mistaken, you're acting just as a salesman. Salespeople make good money but successful entrepreneurs with their own products make much more.

    Instead of writing your own ebook, write or buy a couple of articles and deliver them weekly via a membership site format. Make yourself available to the people there and start creating your own brand.

    Update your eBooks and convert them into videos and/or physical products (printed manuals with CD's or DVDs). Offer them to your existing customers and as an upsell to new ones.

    Why do I get the feeling that most people are missing the point?

    It's not about creating more products, it's about getting more eyes to your offers. You could have 10 fantastic products, no eyes to them, no money.

    Look at Fat Loss 4 Idiots, 1 single product = millions of dollars. I could mention more examples like that, but I just don't have the time.

    I would focus on maximizing the potential of your already existing offers, by sending the highest amount of niche targeted traffic to them.

    If you already have great products/services, take them to the limit.

    Hi BJ,

    The next step is backend buddy.

    Sure, you may be unfamiliar with it,
    but weren't you unfamiliar with the
    whole thing when you started out?

    Start backending your customers,
    then you'll see your income take some
    dramatic jumps.

    Remember -the first sale you make with
    a person is the hardest one.

    So doesn't it make sense to capitalize on
    that and make as many sales as possible
    from existing customers?

    That's how the big guys in IM got to be
    the big guys.

    Good luck

    thats exactly what I realised a few months ago..

    Too many people concentrate on making alot of products, alot of websites etc...

    Why don't you concentrate on 1 at a time and making each one of them a "money powerhouse" ?

    Ex:

    You made this ebook for 47$ in your case...after that work on a back-end product for 97$-197$, then follow-up with them with a high ticket coaching or a physical product or maybe just a bigger and better course that you can sell for 500-1000$ to the same market.

    You can add complementary offers on your thank-you page as an affiliate, you can start your own membership site around the topic and hire 1-2 people to do some of the content creation for you if you don't have time/don't want to do it/to much work etc...

    Start contacting people to get them to be an affiliate of your product, or just to send a 1 time promotion to their list.

    Offer a "lite" version of one of your backend products at a cheaper price just in case they don't want the full blown course....or if you have a physical product as a back-end use the "lite" motive and give it to them cheaper but downloadable this time.

    There are alot more things you could do to increase the money you make out of 1 product.

    Making a mini-business out of every website can more then triple your income by using upsells, downsells, crossells, special offers..

    After you have created your entire selling process just try and automate it as much as you can then move on to the next one.

    I know people with just 3-4 products that are making 3.000-8.000$ per week just working on those alone. And they could easily get more if they took it one step further (automating and outsourcing 80%) and build more of them.

    And also concentrate and getting more traffic each month but concentrate in equal manner on getting higher conversions.

    Alot of people just WASTE MONEY and TIME with the "so if i get Y traffic I have X conversions...so getting YZ traffic would make me XZ conversions" mentality...You would not believe how many people are in this situation....traffic is important yes, and you should always try to increase it...but if you also increase your conversion it will reward you handsomely.

    are you talking selling as a vendor or affiliate?

    Hi BJ Min,

    Possibilities are endless. If I were you I'd leverage what you have this time.

    You can reconstruct your ebooks many ways; into

    -> reports
    -> articles
    -> podcast
    -> home study course
    -> audio course
    -> teleseminar
    -> video course
    -> coaching course
    -> one on one coaching program
    -> marketing system
    -> live seminar

    just name a few. Main essence is you can use your materials on many ways if you assured the quality what your targeted audience want from you.

    You can also increase your earning by develop your ctr. If you have now eg. 2% ctr then you need to make some experiment if you can increase it up to 5% - 10%. It will skyrocket your earnings if you make it right way. For great conversion you need: great product or service that fulfill your 'target customer's' needs, problems or their goals - and a kick ass sales letter.

    Consider to make a survey among your customers on which way they want you to develop your product or service. We know that it can take time and effort but surveys can give you a real answer about what your customer truly wants. Never guess their wants because it is so easy to get it wrong.

    The devices are also various, you can use JV-s and affiliates, outsourcing too.

    Many successes,

    Sandor

      Well done for reaching that level, here is what i suggest you do next.

      You have a few options.

      Firstly you probably have a good understanding of the niches you are in where you are making $4,000 a month in.

      Make your own product, and make a sales funnel which has upsells and backend products that are higher priced products.

      $47 ebook > $97 video's > $297 Physical product etc... But then have continuity as a membership aswell...

      as a product creator you can now get affiliates to work for YOU and make you sales that could make you 10 x more than you are currently making, plus the backend products aswell!...

      I am a product creator and have found that there are many more options for increasing your income, than when you are an affiliate to a product and hit a wall..

      hope this helped
