How do you allocate your time on promotional campaigns?

First I would like to say hello as a new member. To get to the point, I would like to find out how you allocate your time during projects. I appreciate many of us will likely work on a variety of different projects but perhaps there are a few particular areas you find most of your efforts tend to gravitate towards?

I wanted to create this thread as I often feel overwhelmed with where to start and I feel I need to put some thought into managing my time more efficiently. Here is a list of possible items, I have bolded what I have focused on most while promoting my websites.
  • SEO
  • Paid Advertising
  • Viral Marketing
  • Ecommerce Management
  • Content Creation
  • Social Media
  • Local Sales
  • Email & List Building
  • Media Advertising
  • Blog Posts
  • Link Building

Over the last year or so I also feel I have wasted to much time trying to make my SEO perfect, which I can be very OCD about lol. Hopefully some input on your favored areas can give me some ideas.

    Once your business is set up, all you need to do is focus on promoting it. There are numerous ways to promote it and trying to do all of them at once will surely be overwhelming. So the best way to approach it is to focus on a few and work on them everyday and when you see results you just need to do more of it in as little time as possible.

      Are there any particular areas you like to start out with? I feel that I should try to generate more short term interest as my projects tend to build interest at a consistent but very slow rate.

          Social Media has proven to be very time consuming for me, I might get around to having a new app that makes scheduling content easier. Perhaps an all in one suit which can manage most of the basics would be useful.

    doing social media sharing and syndication is really quite time-consuming, glad that there is hoosuite to help schedule those posts and share to your various social media accounts!
