GMail Account Sending SPAM to other Contacts
Hey Guys,
As of lately, I've been getting spam - unusually, it's from friends and business associates. This is out of their character because I know them personally, but these spams have 1 thing in common:
- they all come from their GMail address
- the spam is usually 5-8 lines long in text
- one exceptional occasion it was an image spam
- all of the contacts in that GMail user's account are revealed in the "TO:" field and they all get that spam
I know that they didn't initiate the spam because I know them personally, but is there any known cause for this? How can GMail users protect their accounts from sending spam to all contacts against their will?
