Developing my first website...

Hello fellow Warriors, after looking in from the outside I decided to join this valuable forum. I'm very pleased with the amount and quality of information this forum provides. I have recently purchased my domain and server and am extremely enthused to get things started. My content is ready for launch, I'm just working on a podcast or two to put up with the articles and YouTube video. My aim is to develop a devoted community of followers in this specific niche that relates to self development. I do not intend to monetize at all until I develop a trusted online following. When the site is launched ill be glad to hear any feedback from fellow members. Happy pursuits to you all!

    P.S There is no harm in ethically monetizing your following ( even if its a small amount ) you always need to be thinking "how can I improve on what I have?" " how can I scale my efforts?" Money is a prime medium in this game. Even though not entirely necessary to begin with. It sure does help to fast track things

      Thanks for the encouragement. I will be using Wordpress, but am going to purchase a magazine theme off of theme forest to make it more elegant (probably volcano). It should be finalized for launch over the weekend and will report back here when it's ready to be displayed to an audience.

    Awesome job on taking that first step. Are you using Wordpress for your first site? I don't blame you on holding off to monetize your site. I held off for my first month until I started actually getting some visitors to my site.

    Don't wait too long to begin monetizing though. There is nothing wrong with monetizing your site.

      Hey, great job. I did it without a plan and not so well thought and and paid a price by confusing people for about a year while I tried to decide what my site was going to be about.

      I salute you BP.

      Did you check out the Magazine theme from Studiopress? I ended up with the Genesis framework and that theme but I am really impressed with the Themeforest stuff it looks unreal on the site.

      Can't wait to see it!

    You're in good company here.

    If I may give several pieces of advice that I am sure most in this forum will wholeheartedly agree with...

    Beware of the "shiny object" syndrome and stick to one method or business plan/project, at least in the beginning.

    Make the small investment and join the War Room! There, you will find a plethora of knowledge and tools at your disposal. Everything you need to get started and succeed can be found in the War Room, and elsewhere on this forum.

    Scour the search function found in this forum before asking questions, as most topics (from novice to expert) have been elaborated on in great detail, somewhere on this forum.
