Is there any database of top affiliates? I am looking for someone in the mobile app industry with list who would be interested in sending a promo email for me and I would pay him a commission per sale. Can't find anything reliable. Thank you

Check the affiliate section of the forum (you need a membership though). You can find some of the best in the business just a few clicks away!

Otherwise take a look on JV networks, you can pay to put your launch on there, and the JV broker running the site sends the details out to all of his top affiliate contacts.

Find some of the popular product creators in that niche - you can use sites like ClickBank to find their contact information (on sales pages). Most product creators are also list builders so they will already have a targeted list of people who are willing to spend money online.

Remember, super affiliates are attracted to super offers - you'll want to contact each personally and not with just another generic message.

Are you looking for individual affiliates? Or affiliate networks where you would list your products and people would find you via searching on these networks?

If it's the first option there is some ways to go about this. Till I understand what exactly your looking for I won't go into to much detail on this.

        Individual. Thanks
I'll give you a little bit on insight on what a friend and I recently did when he launched a new website. Some of this will also depend on your product/niche.
My friend actually has a popular physical product.

        Anyway,

First things first. Create yourself a spreadsheet either with Excel or in Google Docs.(This will help keep you organized)

Search in the Top 3 Search Engines(Google, Bing, Yahoo!) for keywords that you would be targeting/your affiliates would be targeting. Manually go through the first and second pages and visit each website. If it's a site that is promoting similar products make a note of it and record their contact email in your spreadsheet. Or if they only have a contact form note that as well.

You'll also want to check out the current affiliate programs that they are promoting. Makes sure your offer is just as good if not better...better commission, better cookie life...

Why would they switch if your offer it not better?

What I would also recommend doing is checking out your direct competitors(if this applies to your niche) backlinks.
Find any High PR/High Authority sites that are linking to them and check them out. See if they are promoting your competitors with banners or some type of ad. Contact these sites as well, cause you want some of that link juice as well. And possible taking some from your competitors.

Keep everything updated in your spreadsheet. Email address, Websites,Who you contacted, Who replied...

There is also a program out there that will scrape the search results for keywords and then scrape the inner pages for emails. Then it will allow you to send out bulk emails as well.

        Hope this makes sense.
